RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that there be submitted to the
electors of said city, at the general election to be held on the 2nd day of November, 19&8, the question or
proposition: Shall the heads of departments of the City of South San Francisco be removed from civil service
as heads of departments, retaining the civil service status which they held prior to appointment as heads of
departments, and whether Ordinance No. 216 of said city, entitled: "An ordinance of the City of South San
Francisco creating and establishing a personnel system for said city," adopted December 15, 19&l, shall be
amended accordingly.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to take all such steps as may be necessary to cause said question
to be placed upon a ballot for the purpose of submitting said question to said electors.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by. the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco this 15th day of September, 19~8, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Jhas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortssi.'
