A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BEi~EEN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND UNITED PACKING CO.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city enter into an agreement
with United Packing Company, a Corporation, wherein said city will agree to sell the ~land .~first hereinafter
described for the sum of $3,820.00 in cash.
The land hereinbefore referred to consists of all that certain tract or parcel of land situate in the
City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and described as fo]~ws:
BEGINNING at a point on the northerly line of Swift Avenue (formerly Walker Avenue) in
the City of South San Francisco; said point being distant South 56o 37' 18" East 10.10 feet and
North 33° 22' ~2" East 50 feet from a granite monument set in the centerline of Swift Avenue at the
first angle point east of the Southern Pacific Railroad; running thence North 56o 37' 18" West
along the northerly line of said Swift Avenue 25.15 feet; thence continuing along the northerly
line of Swift Avenue South 89o 52' 30" West 8d.~O feet; thence lea~ing said northerly line of Swift
Avenue and running North 33o 22' ~2" East 246.59 feet; thence South 56° 37' 18" East 95.53 feet and
South 33° 22' A2" West 200.00 feet to the point of beginning.
CONTAINING O.A8 acres and beings portion of the Buri Buri Rancho.
In said agreement, said United Packi~.g Company shall agree to lease to said city the land hereinbefore
described, diminished by all that certain tract or parcel of land situate in said City of South San Francisco and
described as follows:
The portion o2 that certain 0.A86 acre tract located on East Grand Avenue (formerly
Swift Avenue) now owned by the City of South San Francisco, being a strip of land IL feet wide lying
7 feet on either side of the following deScribed center line and extensions thereto:
CO~E. NCING at a point in the common ~oundary between East Grand Avenue and said 0.A86
acre tract, said point being distant along said common boundary north 89° 52' 30" east 17.99 feet
from the most westerly corner of said 0.A86 acre tract; thence from said point of commencement
running parallel to and distant 15feet southeasterly from the north westerly boundary of said
0.A86 acre tract north 33° 22~ A2" east 95.00 feet; thence on the arc of a curve to the right,
tangent to said last mentioned course at said last mentioned point, having a radius of A5 feet
through an angle of 38° 56' 35" a distance of 30.58 feet to a point of cusp; thence on the arc
of a curve to the left of radius of A5 feet through an angle of 38° 56' 35" a distance of 30.58
feet; thence north 33° 22' A2" east 29.65 feet; thence on the arc of a curve to the right,
tangent to said last mentioned course at said last mentioned point, having a radius of kO feet through
angle of 90° 00' 00" a distance of 62.83 feet; thence south 56o 37' 18" east 20.53 feet to & point in
the southeasterly boundary of said 0.486 acre tract, said point being distant along said boundary north
33o 22' A2" east 180.00 feet from the most southerly corner of said 0.A86 acre tract:
The southerly end of said strip being a portion of above mentioned common boundary between
East Grand Avenue and 0.A86 acre tract, and the easterly end beLag a portion of the above mentioned
southeasterly boundary of 0.A86 acre tract:
CONTAINING 0.0865 of an acre.
for and during the term commencing on the Sth day of December, 19d8, and terminating on the expiration of one (1)
year from the date when an underpass will be constructed and open for public use on Grand Avenue, in said City,
under the right-of-way of. the Southern Pacific Railroad. The rent for said. premises shall be Twelve Dollars
($12.00) per year, payable annually in advance.
In said agreement it shall also be provided that said city may use the portion of the premises last herein-
before described as a corporation yard to and including October 25, 1950.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco this 6th day of December, 19&8, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi.
