IN THE MATTER OF THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF
D STREET IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation, in the
County of San Mateo, State of California, as follows:
Section 1. It is the intention of said city council to order the following described portion D Street
a public street in the City of South San Francisco~o he vacated. Said portion of D Street consists of all that
certain parcel of land situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, and described as follows:
Beginning at the most easterly corner of Lot 2, Biock 13 as delineated on the Map of
the town of "BADEN", a part of Rancho Buri Buri, San Mateo County, California, filed November 30,
1891, J. F. Johnston, County Recorder, by N. 'J. McGarvey Deputy Recorder, which map is now recorded
in Book E of Maps at page 62; thence North 26° 32' West along the easterly line of Block 13 to ah
intersection with the easterly line of 3rd Street as shown on the above described map (the same es
the easterly line of West Orange Avenue as now known); thence northerly along the easterly line of West
Orange Avenue to an intersection with the southerly right of way line of the Street Car Line.belonging
to the City and County of San Francisco; thence easterly along said Street Car Right of Way line to an
intersection with the easterly line of "D" Street and the westerly line of Block 1~ in the Town of Baden
above referred to; thence South 26° 32' East along the westerly line of Block 14 to the most southerly
corner of Lot 12 Block iL, Town of Baden; thence South 63° 37' West 60 feet more or less to the point of
beginning.
Section 2. Said city council hereby fixes Monday, the 3rd day of January, 19~9, at the hour of 8 o'clock
p.m., in the City Hall of said City of South San Francisco, County of Sa~ Mateo, State of California, as the time and
place for hearing all persons interested in, or objecting to, the.vacation of said portion of said public street.
~ection 3. Notices of the passage of this resolution of intention, giving the timea~d place of hearing
thereon, shall be conspicuously posted along the line of said public street at not more than three hundred (300) feet
in distance apart, and not less than three (3) inall.
Section ~. The action hereby taken by the said city council is in pursuance of that certain act of
the legislature of the State of California Known as the "Street Vacation Act of 19~1", the same being Division 9,
Part 3 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
Section 5. This resolution of intention shall be published by one (1) insertion in the South San
Francisco Journal, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced andadopted by the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco, this 6th day of December, 19~8, by the following vote:
