RESOLUTION~NO. 1411
RESOLUTION ORDERINC THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF D STREET IN
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
WHEP~EAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 6th day of December, 19&8,
pass a resolution de,taring its intention to order the vacation of the following described portion of D Street, a
public street in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and described as
follows:
Beginning at the most easterly corner of Lot 2, Bloc~ 13'as delineated on the Nap of the
town of "BADEN", a part of Rancho Burl Buri, San Mateo County, California, filed November 30, 1891
J. F. Johnston, County Recorder, by N. J. McGarvey, Deputy Recorder, which map is now recorded in
Book E of Maps at page 62; thence North 26° 32' West along the easterly line of Block 13 to an
intersection with the easterly line of 3rd Street as sho~n on the above described map (the same as
the easterly line of West Orange Avenue as now known); thence northerly along the easterly line of
West Orange Avenue to an intersection with the southerly right-of-way line of the Street Car Line
belonging to the City and County of San Francisco; thence easterly along said Street Car Right of
Way line to an intersection with the easterly line of "D" Street and the westerly line of Block 14
in the Town of Baden above referred to; thence South2~6° 32' East along the westerly line of Block
14 to the most.southerly corner of Lot 12 Block l&, Town of Baden; thence South 63° 37' West 60 feet
more or less to the point of beginning;
'~HEREAS said resolution of intention was published, and notice of the passage of said resolution of
intention was posted in the manner and form required by law and by said resolution of intention, reference being hereby
made to the affidavits of Henry L. Schweining and Myra R. Spangler, which affidavits are now on file in said matter in
the office of the city clerk of said city, and are made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS the public hearing on said resolution of intention was held at a regular meeting of said city
council in the City Hall of said City of South San Francisco, on the 3rd day of ~anuary, 19A9, at the hour of 8 o'clock
p. m.; and whereas there was no protest made against said proposal; and
~{EREAS said City Council of the City of South San Franc~.sco has determined, and does hereby determine
that said portion of said public street is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes;
NO~, THEREFORE, said city council hereby orders that said public street be, and the same hereby is
vacated.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolutio~ was regularly introduced and adopted by the ~ity Council
of the City of South San Francisco, this 3rd day of January, 19~9, by .the following vote:
Ayes, Councilman Victor Boido, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi.
Noes, Councilmen None
Absent, Councilmen None
