HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1419-1949RESOLUTION NO. l&19 RESOLUTION AMER~]ING RESOLUTION NO. 1397 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~E CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, ADOPTED ON THE 6th °DAY OF DECEMB~, 1948. RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that Resolution No. 1397, entitled: "AN ORDER PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS AND THE INT~IEST COUPONS ATTACHED, PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1095 ENTITLED: 'A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH FRANCISCO DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE STREETS AND OTHER AREAS IN THE SUBDIVISION OF SAID CITY KNOWN AS RANCHO BURI-BURI", adopted on the 6th day of December, 1948, be amended as follows: The paragraph containing the recital of the date of filing' the list of unpaid assessments, commencing on the first page of s$id resolution, is amended to read as follows: '~EREAS on the 20th day of September, 1948, said superintendent of streets filed with the city clerk a complete list of all assessments unpaid under said assessment upon the respective assessment or diagram numbers thereon, whereupon said city clerk gave notice of the filing of said list, having fixed the 6th day of December, 1948, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m., as the time when interested persons m~y appear before said city council and show cause why bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid assessments shown upon said assessment list, Said time being that of the regular meeting of said city council; and it appearing from the affidavit of 9aniel J. Hyland, City Clerk of said city, which affidavit is now on file in the office of said city clerk, that said notice was posted as required by law; and it likewise appearing from the affidavit of Myra J. Spangler now on file in the office of the city clerk that said notice was published as required by law; Section 1 of said resolution, as amended shall read as follows: Section 1. Said bonds shall be issued upon the security of the unpaid assessments in the amount of $55,076.98, in accordance with the provisions of said "Improvement A~t of 1911", and the amendments thereto, and of the 'Improvement Bond Act of 1915", and the amendments thereto, under and pursuant to the resolutions, notices and proceedings duly adopted and taken by said city council. Said bonds shall be called "Improvement Bonds" and shall be dated December 6, 1948, and bear interest, at the rate of five (5) percent per annum, commencing on the 2Otb day of September, 1948, and shall be sixty (60) in number and shall be in the following denominations.
