HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1427-1949RESOLUTION NO. 1427 CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city council finds and determines and hereby declares that: The public interest and necessity require the acquisition, construction and completion by the City of South san Francisco of a sewage disposal plant, for the purposes of said city; and that public interest and necessity require the acquisition for said purpose of the real property hereinafter described. RESOLVED FURTHER that Said City of South San Francisco acquire the real property hereinafter described by condemnation in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure and the Consitution ofithe State of California relating to eminent domain, and prepare and prosecute in the name of the People of the State of California, such proceeding or proceedings in the Superior Court of the State.of California, in and for the County of San Mateo, as are necessary for such acquisition. The real property, which said City of South San Francisco determines to acquire for said public use, is situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the northerly line of that certain 98.586 acre parce~ of land conveyed by the United States of America, acting by and through the War Assets Admin- ~t~at~n~otOthe San FranciscoBridgeCo., acorporation, bydeedrecordedJunel?, ?~ , lume 1479 of Official Records at page ~76, San Mateo County records, which point of beginning bears North 80° 57' East 735 feet from the most westerly corner of said 98.586 acre parcel; thence South9o 03' West 250 feet; thence South 80° 57' West 6001~ifeet to the point of beginning; containing 3.~6~ acres. The city attorney is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file a complaint in eminent domain for the p~rpose of acquiring said land and to do all such other things as may be necessary to carry into effect the purposes of this resolution. I hereby certify that,the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Counci~ of the City of Southern Francieco this 21st day of March, 19~9, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boid~, Chas.
