A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LETTER OF INTENT OF THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA ACTING BY AND THROUGH WAR ASSETS ADMIN-
ISTRATION, DATED MARCH ll, 19&9
RESOLVED by the City Co~cil of the City of South San Francisco that said City of South San Francisco
hereby accepts the letter of intent of the United States of America acting by and through War Assets Administra-
tion, dated March 11, 19d9, for the sale to the City of South San Francisco, of Tract II of the Belair Shipyard
South San Francisco, Calif., M-Calif-20, embracing 25.27 acres, more or less, subject to existing easements,
together with the improvements mentioned in said letter of inten~, and agrees to all the terms and conditions
contained in said letter of. in~ent.
In conformity with said letter of intent, said city council hereby declares as follows:
That fifty-one percent (51%) or more of the land and improvements above mentioned will be used for
other than industrial purposes. .
That necessary funds for the construction of the sewage treatment plant proposed to be erected by said
City of South San Francisco will be secured by the City of South San Francisco within a reasonable period of
time, following the date of the adoption of this resolution through the sale of bonds, and that the actual
construction of said proposed sewage treatment plant will be commenced within a period of si~ty (60) days after
the sale of ~uch bonds.
That the revenues to be d~rivsd from the operation of the proposed sewage treatment plant will be
limited to operating cost plus debt service and the establishment of a reasonable reserve.
The Mayor and the CitY Clerk of said city are hereby authorized to execute and deliver to the War
Assets Administration a certificate embodying the provisions of this resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco on the 26th day of April, 19A9, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi.
Noes, Councilmen None
Absent, Councilmen None
