RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city council proposes
to cause the following work and improvements to be done in said city, to-wit:
The improvement of Linden Avenue between the southerly boundary line of Railroad Avenue
and the southerly termination of Linden Avenue, and San Mateo Avenue from the southerly termina-
tion of Linden Avenue to the southerly boundary l~me of the City of South San Francisco by the
construction of sanitary sewers, drainage facilities, curbs and gutters, sidewalks and resurfacing
and widening the existing pavement with plant-mixed surfacing on crusher run-base.
Reference is hereby made to the plans and specification for said work and a description of said
work and for all particulars relative thereto, which plans and specifications were adopted by said city council
on the 23rd day of June, 19A9, and are now on file in the office of the city clerk of said city.
Said city council hereby defines the boundary and extent of the district of the land to be
specially assessed to pay the cost of said improvements as follows:
Beginning at a point on the westerly line of Linden Avenue where said line is inter-
sected by the southerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad (Baden Branch) right of w~y; thence
North 7&o 27' ~est 396.0~ feet; thence around a curve to the right having a radius of 272.95 ft.
a distance of 2A3.176 feet; thence continuing on a curve to the right having a radius of 583.1A
feet a di~ance of 131.59 feet; thence South 15° 33' West along a line 225 feet westerly and
parallel with the westerly line of Linden Avenue a distance of 268A.2~ feet more or less to the
Southwesterly corner of the Reichold Chemical Company's 3.00 acre tract, said corner also being
the Northwesterly corner of the E. I. Dupont De Nemours 7.~0 Acre tract; thence continuing South
15° 33' West 2A8.20 feet; thence South 7A° 27' East i foot; thence around a curve to the right
having a radius of 583.1~ feet a distance 218.31 feet; thence North 53° 00' West i foot; thence
South 37° OO' West 558.71 feet more or less to the Northwesterly corner of that certain Parcel
of land containing 3.00 Ac~es and belonging to the Standard Wire Corporation and designate~ on
the official map of South San Francisco as Parcel 28, Zone '~"; thence South 2~° 39' 18" East
858.10 feet; thence North 65° 20' A2" East 1090 feet ~ore or less to an intersection with the west-
erly line of San Mat~o Avenue; thence around a curve to the right having a radius of 370 feet a
distance of 60 feet more or less to the Northeasterly corner of Block 3, San Bruno Park 5th
addition; thence in a southerly direction along the westerly line of San Mateo Ave. to an inter-
section with the line marking the South Boundary Line of the 6ity of South San Francisco; thence
South 89° 57' 13" East 70 feet; thence North O0° 58' 30" West 35 feet; thence South 89° 57' 13" ~
East 200 feet; thence North OO° 58' 30" west 310.57 feet; thence North 89° 57' 13" West 200 feet
to the easterly line of San Mateo Avenue; thence in a Northerly direction along the easterly line
of San Mateo Avenue a distance of 1360 feet more or less to the Northwesterly corner of that
certain 13.77A Acre Tract known as "Cape Esperance" a War Housing Project; thence South 89o57'13''
East 200 feet; thence Northerly and Northwesterly on a line parallel with and at a distance of 200
feet therefrom measured at right angles from the Easterly line of San Nateo Avenue and the Northerly
line of Linden Avenue to an intersection with the Westerly Right of Way line of the Southern Pacific
Railroad Company which intersection is located on the Easterly property line of that .939 Acre tract
of land owhed by the Union Oil Company and designated on the Official Map of South San Francisco
as Parcel 27 Zone "J"; thence northerly along the westerly goundary line of the Southern Pacific
Railroad right of way line around a curve to the right having a radius of 5779.65 feet a distance
of 7~0 feet; thence North llo 28' 38' East 950 feet; thence continuing along the weSterlY line of the
Southern Pacific Railroad right of way line around a curve to the right having a radius of 23~1.88
feet a distance 13dO feet; thence continuing along said line around a curve to the left a distance
of 700 feet more or less to the point of beginning.
Said city council hereby determines that no part of the cost of said improvement shall be paid
any source other than the special assessment upon benefited property, except as hereinafter in this paragraph
provided, and that the probable assessments will not exceed limitations set up by Division & of the Streets and

will be contributes toward the payment of the cost of the improvements hereinbefore mentioned.
Said city council hereby determines that said improvements shall be constructea under the procee~
ings taken pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 19il aha tha~ serial bonds to represent unpaid
assessments and to bear interest at the rate of five percent (5%) per annum will be issued in the manner provid.
by Division l0 of the Streets and Highways Code, in the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, the last installment of
which bonds will mature fourteen (lA) years from the 2nd day of July next succeeding ten (10) months from their
date.
The city clerk is hereby directed to mail prepaid postcards giving notice of the findings of sai~
city council and its proposed action. Each such notice shall have attached thereto an addressed prepaid p~st-
card with the return postage thereon guaranteed. Such cards shall be mailed to each person and corporation to
whom an~ to which land in the proposed assessment district is assessed on the last equalized county assessment
roll at his and its residence as shown upon said roll, and any person, whether owning in fee or having a lien
legal, or equitable interest in said land, within said proposed district, who has filed with said city clerk hi:
name and address and the designation in the land in which he is interested.
The notice, herein directed to be mailed by said city clerk, shall be substantially in the form
(filling in the blanks) provided in Section 2951 of the Streets and Highways Code, said section being a part of
the act known as the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, and
return postcard shall comply with provisions of said Section 2951.

meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, held the 5th day of July, 19~9, by the followin~
