HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1470-1949 RESOLUTION NO. 1470 A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF CHESTNUT AVENUE WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, in open session, the 18th day of July, 19&9, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bi~s for doing the following work in said city: The construction of pavement twenty-four (24) feet in width, consisting of a five (5) inch crusher run base and an asphaltic concrete wearing surface two and one-half (2~) inches in thickness on Chestnut Avenue between the southerly line of Commercial Avenue and the easterly line of E1 Camino meal, and the alteration of the bridge over Co]mm Creek in the City of South San Francisco; RESOLVED that said city council hereby rejects all said proposals or bids, excepting that next hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for said work to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: L. C. Smith Co., at the prices ma mod in its bid, to-wit: Item 1 Item 2 Item 3 Item & Item 5 Item 6 Item 7 Item 8 Item 9 Item 10 Item 11 Ihem 12 $&6.00 each 3.30 per lineal foot 220. O0 3.30 per lineal foot · ~5 per cubic yard 1.25 per cubic yard · 35 per lineal foot 2.60 per ton 33.00 per ton 5.98 per ton 27.50 each 3.20 per lineal foot The mayor and the city~erk of said city are hereby authorized and directed to exec,~e the contract for said werk with said lowest responsible bidder, which contract shall comply with the terms and provisions of the resolution of said city council directing the publication of notice inviting sealed proposals for the improve- ment of Chestnut Avenue between Commercial Avenue and E1 Camino Real in the City of South San Francisco. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Co~cil of the Oity of South San Francisco this lSth day of July, lqAg, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Chas.
