HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1490-1949414 RESOLUTION NO. iago ~F~SOLUTIO~ ORDERING THE VACATION OF A ?OHTION OF HIGHLAND AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, did, on the 15th day of August, 19A9, pass a resolution declaring its intention to order the vacation of the following described portion of Highland Avenue, a public street, in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the northwesterly line of Highland Avenue, said point bears South 53° 19' 32" West 7.A7 feet from the easterly corner of Lot &, Block 7 as shown on the map of "Sterling Terrace No. 2" recorded in Volume 30 of Maps at page 22, records of ~an Mateo County, California; thence from said point of beginning along the northwesterly, westerly and southwesterly line of Bigh~and Avenue, along a curve to the right with a radius of 500 feet, tangent to a line bearing South 53° 19' 32" West, a distance of 36.14 feet; thence along a reverse curve to the left with a radius of 50fe~t a distance of 156.28 feet; thence along a reverse curve to the right with a radius of 50 feet a distance of 36.14 feet to a point which bears North &2° ~' 28" West 2 feet from the .eaa~arl~ ~orner of Lot 8 in said Block 7' of Sterling Terrace No. 2; thence North ~2° 56' 28" West 3~.~.~'~e~, thence along a Qurve to the right with a radius of 50 feet, tangent to the proceeding course, a distance of 8&.O1 feet; thence North 53° 19' 32" East 38.25 feet to the point of beginning; And, ~EREA~ said resolution of intention was published, and notice of the passage of said resolution of intention was posted in the manner and form required by law, and by said resolution of intention, reference being hereby made to the affidavits of Henry L. Schweining and Myra R. Spangler, which affidavits are now on file in said matter in the office of the City Clerk of said city, and are made a part hereof; and WHE~Y~A~ a public hearing on said resolution of intention was held at a regular meeting of said city council in the City Hall of said City of South San Francisco, on the 19th day of September, 19A9, at the hour of $;00 p.m.; and whereas there was no protest made against said proposal; and WHEREAS said City Council of said ~ity of South San Francisco has determined, and does hereby determine that said portion of said public street is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes; NOW, THerEFORE, said city council hereby orders that said portion of said public street be, and the same is hereby v&~&ted. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 19th day of September, 19A9, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Chas.
