RESOLUTION NO. 1/~99
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DEED OF UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ACTING BY
AND THROUGH THE ~ENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATOr, TO THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANC ISCO.
RESOLVED BY THE City Council of the'City of South San Francisco that siad city hereby accepts deed
dated the 23rd day of November, 19A9, wherein the UNITED STATE OF AMERICA, acting by and through ~he General Services
Administrator, under and pursuant to the powers and authority contained in the provisions of the Federal Property
and Administrative Services Act of 19A9, and the Surplus Property Act of 19~J+ (58 Stat. 765) as emended thereby,
and regulations and orders promulgated thereunder, conveys to said City of South San Francisco, all that certain
piece of parcel of land situate, lying and being in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of
California, and more particularly described as follows:
Tract 2.
Commencing at a point which is the most westerly corner of that certain 98.586 acre parcel of
l~nd conveyed by the United States of America, acting by and through the War Assets Administration,
to the San Francisco Bridge Co., a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State.
of California, by deed dated September 11, 1927, and recorded on June 17, 19~8, in Volume 1~79 of
the Official ~ecords at Page &?6, San Mateo County Records; thence from said point of commencement
North 25° 27' 30" West, 595.88 feet; thence North 55° 00' East 530.00 feet; thence North 8~o $$~
mast 180.00 feet; thence South 57° 00' East 620.00 feet; thence South 23° 20' 3~" West 139.86 feet;
thence North 86° 00' East 621.06 feet; thence North 68° ~5' East 170.00 feet; thence North 55° 38'
36" East 12A4;62 feet; thence along the northwesterly and westerly line of the San Francisco Bridge
Company's property described in the deed referred to above, the following courses and distances;
South 19° 28' West A17.93 feet; thence South 62° 08' 30" West 1262.87 feet; thence South 80° 57' West
1390.81 feet to the point of commencement.
Together with certain improvements located thereon ~ed described as follows:
Building A - Administration Office
Building B - Auto Shelter
Building C - Auto ~helter
Building D - Gate House
Building E - Shop
Building F - ~arehouse
Building G - Barracks and Toilet
Building BB - Toilets
Fencing, paving, and the water, sewer, and electrical systems as now
installed on Tract 2. ,
The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause said deed, together with a certified copy of this resolution,
to be recorded in the office of the County ~ecorder of said County of San Mateo, California.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Co~cil
of the City.!of South San Francisco, this 5th day of December, 19A9, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi.
