A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 890 ESTABLISHING
PERSONNEL RULES AND RECRfLATIONS OF THE CITY OF SO~TH

RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the "Established Personnel Rules
and Regulations of the City of South San Francisco", adopted by the City Council on the 15th day of February
1943, be, and the same hereby are, amended as follows:
The~e is hereby added to Rule XVI a section which shall be numbered and read .as follows:
Sec. 4. ~he Chief of Police, the chief of the fire department, the superintendent
of streets, city cler, tax-collector, building inspector, city manager and every other
head of a department in the classified service of said city shall each submit to the
personnel board a report as to the progress which each probationary officer or employee
in his department, as the case may be, has made during the probationary period. Such
reports shall be made at intervals at not more than ninety (90) days from the date of the
appointment of said probationary officer or employee and a final report and recommendation
shall be made to said personnel board at the end of the eleventh month of the probationary
period. Such reports shall be made on forms to be prescribed by the personnel board.

City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 5th day of December, 19&9, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Victor Boido, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi.
Noes: Councilmen None
