HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1507-1950RESOLUTION NO. 1507 RESOLVED by the City Council. of the City of South Ssa Francisco that said city council proposes to cause the following work and improvements to be done in said city, to-wit: The improvement of Hillside Boulevard from Linden Avenue to the westerly line of High School Terrace, No. 2, by constructing sanitary manholes, sanitary sewers, drainage facilities, concrete curbs and gutters, concrete sidewalks, and by widening the existing pavement. · Reference is hereby made to the plans and specifications for said work and a description of said work, and for all particulars relative thereto, which plans and specifications were adopted by said city council on the 16th day of January, 1950, and are now on file in the office of the city clerk of said city. Said city council herehy defines the boundaries and extent of the district of the land to be specially assessed to pay the cost of said improvements as follows: Beginning at the northerly eorner of Lot 12 as shown on the map of "High Schoo~ Park Terrace Map No. 2' recorded in Book 27 of Maps at page 10, San Mateo County records, thence south ~7° 03' 32" west 1OO feet to the westerly corner of said Lot 12; thence along the southsesterly line of the said subdivision, "High School Park Terrace Map No. 2", south &2° 56' 28" east 17&.17 and southeasterly along a curve to the left, tangent to the preceding course, with a radius of 1135 feet a distance of &07.6~ feet to the southerly corner of said subdivisi~ thence southeasterly along a line parallel to and lOOfeet at right angles southwesterly from the southwesterly line of Hillside Boulevard lO&O feet more or less to a point in the northwesterly line of the 0.216 acre parcel of land described in the deed recorded under file number &&081 F, San Mateo County records; thence along the northwesterly and southwesterly lines of said 0.216 acre parcel south 55o 39' 53" west 17.16 feet and south 56o 3&' l&" east 105.08 feet to the westerly line of the 0.265 acre parcel described in the deed recorded under file n~mber 80513 H, San Mateo County records; thence along said westerly line south 15° 33' west 100 feet to the northwesterly line of Armour Avenue; thence along the northeasterly line of Armour Avenue, South 56° 3&' 14" oas' 58.91 feet to the westerly line of Linden Avenue; thence along the westerly line of Linden Avenue along a curve to the right with a radius of 309.90 feet a distance of 166.66 feet to the center line of Hillside Boulevard; thence northwesterly alon~ the center line of Hillside Boulevard 1833.57 feet to a point on the prolongation northeasterly of the northwesterly line of the aforesaid ~ot 12; thence along said prolongation south &7° 03' 32 35 feet to the point of beginning. Said city council hereby determines that no part of the cost of said improvement shall be paid from anl source other than the special assessment upon property benefited, except as hereinafter in this paragraph provid. and that the probable assessments will not exceed the limitation set up by Division ~ of the Streets and Highway Code. ~he sum of One Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-five and no/lOO Dollars ($1,575.00) will be contributed towar. the payment of the cost of said improvements by said 8ity of South San Francisco and the sum of Two Thousand Six Hundred Twenty and no/lOO Dollars ($2,620.00) will be contributed by South San Francisco Unified School Dist: toward the payment of the cost of said improvements. Said city council hereby determines that said improvements shall be constructed under the proceedings' pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 and that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments. to bear interest at the rate of five percent (5%) per annum will be issued in the manner provided by Division l0 of the Streets and Highways Code in the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, the last installment of which bonds will m fourteen (14) years on the 2nd day of July next succeeding ten (10) month from their date. The City Clerk is hereby directed to mail prepaid postcards giving notice of the findings of said city council and its proposed action. Each such notice shall have attached thereto an addressed, prepapid postcard w the return postage thereon guaranteed. Such cards shall be mailed to each oerson and corporation to whom and wh land in the proposed assessment district is assessed on the last equalized county assessment roll at hi~ and its residence as shown upon said roll, and any person, whether owning in fee or having a lieu or legal, or equitable interest in said land, within said proposed district, who has filed with said city clerk his name and address an the designation in the land in which he is interested. The notice, herein directed to be mailed by said city clerk, shall be substantially in the form (filli in the blanks) provided in Section 2951 of the Streets and Highways Code, said section being a part of the act known as the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, and the return postc shall comply with provisions of said Section 2951.
