A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ON A
PROPOSITION FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF A PARK RECRE~.TION AND
PAPJ0~AY DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FB~NCISCO.
~HEREAS public interest and necessity require that a park recreation and par~ay district be
formed in said city for the purpose of the acquisition, improvement, maintenance and operation of parks,
recreation grounds and parkways;
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city council proposes
to take the steps provided by the ~ublic Resources Code of the State of California for the formation and
organization of a park recreation ann parkway district in and for said City of South San Francisco ~nd hereby
fixes Monday the 6th day of Marc~, 1950, at the hour o~ 8 o'clock p.m. and the council chamber in the city hall
of said city as the time and place for the hearing and determination of said matter. Said city council hereby
determines that the boundaries of the territory of said park recreation and parkway district shall be the
exterior boundaries of said City of South San Francisco, in the event that the formation of such district may
be approved by the electros of s~id city. Said city council hereby determines that no tax ceiling shall be
determinated for such district.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish once a week for two (2) successive weeks ~n The
Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in said City of South San Francisco,
which newspaper said city oouncil deems~most likely to give the inhabitants of s~id city notice of the
proposed formation of such district'a notice in substantially the following form:
NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED FOR~i~TION OF CITY PARK RECREATION
AND PAR~¥AY DISTRICT IN T~E CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,
COUNTY OF SAN ~ATEO.
Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco to take the steps provided by the Public Resources Code of the State of California for the formation
and organization of a park recreation and par~way district in and for the City of South San Francisco.
The name of the proposed district is South San Francisco Park Recrestion and Parkway District,
and the name of the city in which the proposed district is to be located is the City of South San Francisco, in
the County of SanMateo, State of California.
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco has fixed the time and place for hearing on t~
matte~' of the formation of the district, as ~onday, the 6th day of March, 1950, a% the hour of 8 o'clock p.m., a~
the council c~,mber in the city hall in said City of South San F~.ancisco, County of San Ma~o, ~a,- ~ Cali~or~
~ihe exterior, ooundaries of the territory proposed to be organized into such park recreation and
parkway district are the exterior bo~ndaries of said Oity of South San Francisco.
At any time prior to the time fixed for the hearing of the matter of the formation of such distri(
any freeholder residing within the proposed district may file with the city clerk of said city written obJection~
to the formation of the district. A tax ceiling will not be set for the district and submitted to the electors
for approval.
At the time and place fixed for the hearing, or at any time to which it may be continued, said cil
council shall consider all written objections filed and shall pass upon t hem.
