RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPEOVEMENT OF HILLSIDE
BOULEVARD FROM LINDEN AVENUE TO HIGH SCHOOL
TERRACE NO. 2.
RESOLVED THAT, whereas the city council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 16th
day of January, 1950, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 1525 to order the improvement work
described in said resolution to be done in said city, which Resolution of Intention was duly and re-
gularly published, as required by law, as appears from the Affidavit of Myra R. Spangler, now on file
inthe office of the city clerk; and
WHEREAS notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention were duly and regularly posted
along the line of said contemplated work and improvement and in f~ont of all' property liable to be
assessed therefore, and along all' the open streets within the district in said Resolution of Intention
described, in the manner and formed recruited by law, as appears from the Affidavit of Henry L.
Schweining, Superintendent of Streets of said city, now on file in the office of the city clerk of
said city; and
WHEREAS all objections or protests against said work have been overruled by said city council;
NOW, THEREFORE, REsoLVED that public interest and convenience rquire the improvement work
described in said Resolution of Intention to be done and said city council hereby orders said work to
be done.
Said work consists of the improvement of Hillside Boulevard from Linden Avenue to the westerly
line of High School Terrace No. 2 by constructing sanitary manholes, sanitary sewers, drainage faci-
lities, concrete curb and gutters, concrete sidewalks, and by widening the existing ~avement.
Said city council hereby ascertains that the general prevailing rates of per diem wages and
the Eeneral prevailing rates for legal holiday and overtime work applicable to said work to be done are
as follows:

The following will be considered holidays: New Year's Day, Decoration Day, Independence Day, Labor
Day, Admission Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and Saturdays.
The city clerk is hereby directed to post a notice of said work, together with the plans and speci-
fications, near the council chamber door, inviting sealed proposals for doing the work ordered. Is also
directed to publish a notice inviting sealed proposals and referring to the specifications posted or on file,
by two (2) insertions in the "Enterprise-South San Francisco Journal," a weekly newspaper published and
circulated in said City of .South San Francisco and hereby designated for that purpose.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced ~nd adopted by the city
council of the City of South San Francisco, this 5th day of June, 1950, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen, Victor Boido, Charles K. Elder, Adolph Sani, Joseph Bracco, and Emildo Cortesi.
Noes, Councilmen, None.
Absent, Councilmen, None.
