HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1552-1950RESOLUTION NO. 1552 WHEREAS the State of California under Chapter ~7, Statues of 1944, (~th extra ses- sion) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of Finance to provide financial assis- tance to local Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-half of the cost of preparing engineering field surveys, engineer- ing or architectural designa, and working and detailed drawings and specifications (hereinafter called "Plans") required for postwar public works projects described as "specific projects" in said Act; and WHEREAS the City of South San Francisco, hereinafter designated as "Local Agency", desires to apply to the Director of Finance and/or the Postwar Public Works Review Board, as the case may be, for an allotment of the State's share of the estimated cost of preparing the com- pleted plans hereinafter mentioned and there has been prepared and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration an application for such purpose; and WHFREAS Local Agency has provided, or will make available upon approval of the aforementioned application, sufficient funds to prepare the completed plans herein mentioned; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Local Agency submit the aforesaid application to the Director of Finance and/or the Postwar Public Works Review Board, as the case may be, re- questing additional allotment of One Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($100.00) being not more than one- half the cost of preparing said completed plans, or for such amount as may be approved by the Director of Finance and/or the Postwar Public Works Review Board, (said allotment to be used for the purpose of defraying the cost of preparing said completed plans required) for a specific pro- ject to be undertaken by local agency and des6ribed as Police Headquarters Building. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the estimated cost of preparing such plans is Eight Thousand Three Hundred.:'Fifty Dollars ($8350.00) and that Local Agency has made provision for paying one-half or more of the cost of preparing such plans; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, for the purposes of this application, Daniel J. Hyland, City Cler, City Hall, South San Francisco, California, be and he is hereby designated as the authorized agent of Local Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above mentioned application on behalf of the Local Agency and submit the same to the Director and/or the Postwar Public Works Review Board, together with a certified statement of the estimated cost of preparing such plans and such other information as may be required; and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed as the representative of Local Agency to conduct all negotiations and con- clude all arrangements, including submission to the Director of Finance of applications for reim- bursement, which may be necessary to secure reimbursement for the State's share of the expendi- tures made in preparing said completed plans. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 22nd day of June , 1950, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Charles K.
