RESOLUTION NO. 1555
RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT
b~EREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, in open session, on the
3r~ day of July, 1950, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing all
the improvement work described in Resolution o~ Intention No. 1525, which resolution of intention was
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco on the 2Otb day of March, 1950, to which
reso~tion of intention reference is hereby made for a description of said work and the assessment dis-
trict in said resolution of intention described;
RESOLVED that said city council hereby rejects all said proposals or bids, except that
next hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and imorovement to the
lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: L. C. Smith Company, a corporation, at the prices named in its bid,
to-wit:
Item 1, crusher run base, 15 cents per square foot; Item 2, wearing surface, 10 cents per s~uare foot;
Item 3, curb and gutter, $1,dO per lineal foot; Item &, sidewalk, $1.~5 per lineal foot; Item 5, man-
holes, $175.O0 each; Item 6, catch basins, $210.00 each; Item 7, ~ inch sewer laterals, $~5.00 each;
Item 8, cast iron clean outs, $22.50 each.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice of this award conspicuously for five
(5) days on or near the council chamber door of thia council, and also to publish aaid notice by two
(2) insertions in THE ENTERPRISE-SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO JOURNAL, a newspaper of general circulation pub-
lished and circulated in said City of South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 3rd day of July, 1950, by the following
vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Charles K. Elder, Adolph Sani, Joseph Bracco, ~ilio Cortesi
Noes, Councilmen, None.
Absent, Councilmen, None.
