HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1579-1950R~OLUTION NO. 1579 RESOLUTION ORDERING hDRK RESOLVED THAT, whereas the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 28th day of August, 1950, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 1573 to order the improvement work described in said resolution to be done in said city, which resolution of intention was duly and regu- larly published, as required by law, as appears from the affidavit of ~'~RA R. SPANGLER now on file in the office of the city clerk of said city; and %~{EREAS notice of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. 1573 was duly and regularly posted alon~ the line' of said contemplated work and improvement and in front of all the prop- erty liable to be assessed therefor, and along all the open streets ~.,~ithin the district in said reso- lution of intention described, in the manner and form required by law, as appears from the affidavit of HENRY L. S~H%~[EINING, superintendent of streets of said city, now on file in the office of the city clerk of said city; and ~,~EREAS the owners of the land described in said resolution of intention as the dis- trict to be benefited by said work and improvement have consented that said City of South San Francisco may proceed with said work and improvement and to the designation of the land described in said resolu- tion of intention as the district to be benefited by such improvement; and ~r~o no protest or objection against said work has been received by said city clerk or by said city council st any time; NOW, THEREFO~tE, RESOLVED that public interest and convenience require the improve- ment work described in said resolution of intention be done and said City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby orders said work to be done. The following are to be considered holidays: New Year's Day, Decoration Day, Inde- pendence Day, Labor Day, Admission Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Saturdays and Sundays. The city clerk is hereby directed to post a notice of said work, together with the plans and specifications, on or near the council chamber door, inviting sealed proposals for doing the work ordered. He is also directed to publish a notice inviting sealed proposals and referring to the specifications posted or on file, by two (2) insertions in the "SOUTH S,tN FRANCISCO ET~TtRPRISE-JOURNAL", a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of South San Francisco and. hereby designated for tbs t ourpos e.
