HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1599-1950RESOLUTION NO. 1599 DETFRMINING TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS PURSUA~[T TO THE IMPROV~'gENT ACT OF 1911 AND THE IMPROV>~ENT BO~D ACT OF 1915 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF S ~NIT ~RY S~'~ERS AND APPURT~]~ANCES ~'~ITHOUT PROCeeDINGS UNDFR DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE. R~SOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, that %'~EREAS, the County Health Officer and ex-officio }{ealth Officer of the City of South San Francisco, has recommended to this Council as necessary as a health measure the undertakin~ of special assessment and assessment bond proceedipK~s, or other appropriate proceedings, for the cons- tr~ction of the follow, lng: The constr~ction of a vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewer commencing at an existing manhole at the intersection of Chestnut ivenue and the Colma Creek Drainage Canal, thence northwest- er]y along said drainage canal to Mission Road, thence in Mission Road northwesterly to a point feet more or less northwesterly of the southeasterly corporate limits line of the Tovm of Colma, thence southwesterly in a direct ]_ine to a point in E1 Camino Rea]. opr~osite the most westerly corner of the Cowell Estate Company property, and thence northwesterly alon~ E1 Camino Real ;~80 feet more or less, thence westerly across E1 Camino Real approximately 100 feet, to~ether with standard man- holes and all necessary apnurtenant structures as. shogun on the plans on file in the office of the City Clerk, which recommendation was given in writing and has been spread upon the minutes of this Council; ~EREAS, this Council intends to undertake proceedings purse]ant to the Improvement Act of 1911 and the Improvement Bond ~ct of ]915 for the constr~ction and financiD~ of said sanitary sewers, and to assess the cost thereof uoon the district benefited, the exterior boundaries of which district are described as follows: Beginning at a point on the corporate limits line of the City of South San Fran- cisco, saidpoint being the point of intersection of the Yortheaster]y line of the 80 foot right of way of the City and County of San Francisco with the ~orthwesterly line of Block 9, ss said block is desi ~nated on the map entitled "RANCHO BURI BURI SOUTH SAN FR~NCISCO~.CALIFOR~IA", 'which map was filed in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on March 22, 19A6 in Book 25 of Maps at Pages 28, 29 and 30; thence from said point of beginning along said Northwesterly line of Rancho Buri Burl Subdivision ~!o. 1, and along the Southwesterly proIongation of said line Southwesterly to the Southwesterly line of Junipero Serra Boulevard and the corporate limits line of the City of South San Francisco; thence along said cor- porate limits line the following courses: Northwesterly along the So~thwesterly line of Junipero Serra Boulevard to the Southeasterly line of the 62.52 acre tract conveyed to Frank LaFom-~rsino by deed recorded in Book 235 of Deeds at page 452, San Mateo Co~nty Records; SouthwesLerl¥ alon? said Southeasterly line to the most Southerly cor- ner of said 62.52 acre tract; along the boundary of said 62.52 acre tract and the boundary of the 179.11 acre tract conveyed to Oliver D. Hamlin by deed recorded in Book 259 of Deeds, at page 366, San Mateo County Records, Northwesterly and Northeast- erlv to the Southerly corner of the 53.95 acre tract conveyed to William E. Arata et al by deed recorded in Book 210 of Deeds at page 79, San Mateo County Records; along the boundary of said 53.95 acre tract Northwesterly and Northeasterly to the Southerly corner of the Cypress Lawn Cemetery, said corner being on the corporate limits line of the Town of Co!ma; Northeasterly along the Southeasterly line of Cypress Lawn Cemet.ery and ~.he corporate limits line of the Torah of Colma to the ?.~ortheasterly line of E1 Camino Real; Southeasterly alon~ the ~!ortheasterly line of E1 Camino Real to the Northwesterly line of the eforomentioned Lagomarsino 62.52 acre tract; h~orth- easterly alon~ the h~orthwesterly line of said 62.52 acre tract to the Southwesterly line of ~.arket Street Railway and the corporate limits line of the To~rn of Colma; and Southeasterly alon~ said corDor~te limits line to a point 1~.21 feet at right ~ngles Northwesterly from the Southeasterly line of s,~id 62.52 acre tract; thence, leaving t.~e corporate limits line of the City of South San Francisco, Northeasterly along a line parallel to, and 18.21 feet ~t right an?les ~[orthwesterly from the Southeasterly line of said 62.52 acre tract to the ~[ortheasterly line of Mission Road; thence Southeasterly alon~ said Northeasterly, line of Mission Road to the corporate limits line of South San Francisco, said point being along the l'~esterl.v corner of the ]3.215 acre parcel of l~nd conveyed to Antonio Scopesi and wife by deed recorded January 9, 1936 in Book 693 of Official Records of San Mateo County at page 61 (7]767C); thence along said corporate limits line of the City of South Zan Franci~co the following courses: Northeasterly alon~ the ?Torthwesterly line of the said lands of Scooesi 3260 feet, more or less, to the most Northerly corner thereof, said point being in the Southeasterly corporate limits line of the City of Colma, which line is also the Southwesterly line of the subdivision desiEnated on the "Map of the Lands of the Abby Homestead Associates", which Map was fi]ed in the Office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California on January 2, 1872 in Book 15 of Deeds at pages 2 and 3 and copy entered in Book B of Maps at pa~e ~3 and Book I of Maps at page 1~; along s,~id corporate limits line of the City of Colma, so~theasterly 950 feet, more or less, and Northeasterly 100 feet more or less, to the intersection of said corporate limits line with the oo~thwesterly line of Hillside Boulevard; and ]eav:ing the corporate limits line of the City of Colma and followin~ said So~th- westerly line of Hillside Boulevard So~theasterly ]_510 feet, more or less, to the Easterly corner of the parcel of land described in Parcel 4of the deed from Pacific Title Insurance Company to Pacific Coast Construction Company and recorded in Book 1797 of Official Records of San Mateo County at page 576 (37965 I); thence, leaving said corporate ]~m~ts line of the City of South San Francisco, and running along the boundary of said Parcel ~ South 37° 35' ~0~ West 561.~5 feet, South 55° 37' 50" East 105.29 feet, South 35° 0~' 30" West 551.?~ feet and North ~9° &3' 5&" West 50.21 feet to the Easterly corner of Parcel 10 described in said deed from the California Pacific Title Insurance Company to Pacific Coast Construction Company, thence South 35° 0~' 30" West along the Southeasterly line of Parcels lO, 9 and 3 described in said deed to Pacific Coast Construction Company and the prolongation of said line, to the Northeasterly line of Lot l0 in Blokc 1 as shown on the Map entitled "Regli Tract, South San Francisco, California#, which map was filed in the Office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California on May 8, 192& in Book ll of Maps, page 63; thence Northwesterly along said Northeasterly line of Lot l0 to the Northerly corner of Lot 10;' thence Southwesterly along the Northwesterly boundary of said Regli Tract to the Northeasterly line of Mission Road; thence Southeasterly along the Northeasterly line of Mission Road to the Southeasterly line of Willow Avenue; thence Northeasterly along said Southeasterly line of Willow Avenue 300 feet; thence Southeasterly to a point in the Southeasterly line of Oak Avenue, which point is 300 feet at right angles Northeasterly from the City of South San Francisco drain- age canal right of way described in the instrument recorded in Book 680 of Official Records of San Mateo County at page 23~ (750?~ C); thence Southeasterly along a line 300 feet at ~Ight angles Northeasterly from said drainage right of way to the South- easterly line of Chestnut Avenue; thence Southwesterly along said Southeasterly line of Chestnut Avenue to a pp~int 300 feet at right angles Southwesterly from said drainage right of way; thence Northwesterly along a line 300 feet at right angles Southwesterly from said drainage danal to the Southweately line of Mission Road to the Southeasterly line of the aforesaid 62.52 acre tract conveyed to Frank Lagomarsino; thence Southwesterly along the Southeasterly line of said 62.52 acre tract to the Northeasterly line of the 80 foot right of way of the City and County of San Francisco; thence Southeasterly along the Northeasterly line of said 80 foot right of way to the point of beginning. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS FOUND, DET~9/~INED AND ORDERED, as follows: 1. That said proceedings so propoeed to be undertake~ by this Council for the cons- truction of said sanitary sewers and appurtenances is necessary as a health measure. 2. That the provisions of Division & of said Streets an~ H~-~hways Code, be, and they are hereby, dispensed with. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, th~s 4th day of December, 1950, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Adolph Sani, Joseph Bracco, Emilio Cortesi Noes, Councilmen, None Absent, Councilmen, Charles K.
