HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1644-1951RESOLUTION NO. !~ RESOLUTION TO R~OV~ WEEDS RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: Said city council hereby determines that weeds, which will attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, are now growing upon streets in the City of South San Francisco, and declares said weeds to be a public nuisance, which must be abated by their removal. Otherwise, said weeds will be removed and the nuisance abated by the city authorities, and the cost and expenses of such removal shall be assessed upon all lots of land in front of which such weeds exist. Said city council hereby fixes Monday, the 16th day of April, 1951, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m., and the council chamber in the city hall of said city as the time and place when and where any and all persons having any objections to the proposed removal of said weeds may appear be- fore said city couhcil and show cause why the work of said proposed removal of weeds shall not be carried out in accordance with this resolution. The city clerk is hereby directed to c~use~.this resolution to be published by two (2) insertions in the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation, publish- ed and circulated in said city. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was re$~larly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 2nd day of April, 1951, by the following vote:~ Ayes, Councilmen V.
