HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1650-1951RJ~SOL~TION NO. 1650 A RESOLUTION ORDERING RD,[OVAL OF ~'fEEDS. ~EREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 2nd day of April, 1951, adopt its resolution No. 1&55, in which said city council determined that weeds, whid~ will attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, were growing upon the streets of said city, and declaring that said weeds must be removed and that the cost and expense of such removal shall be assessed uoon all lots of land in front of which such weeds exist and, in said resoiu~ion, fixed Monday, the loth cay of April, 1951, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m., and the council chamber in %ne city hall of said city, as the time and place when and where all .persons having any objections to the proposed removal of said weeds may appear before said city council and show cause why the ~ork of the proposed removal of weeds should not be carried out; and WHEREAS no person has protested or opposed the removal of said weeds; R~sOL~ED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the superinten- dent of streets abate the nuisance caused by said weeds by having them removed. Said superinten- dent of streets is hereby directed to keep an account of the cost and expense of abating the nuisance in front of each separate l~t or parcel of land where the work of removing said weeds may.be done, and render an itemized reoort in writing to the city council, showing the cost and expense of removing said weeds. Before such report is submitted to the city council~ said superintendent of streets shall cause a copy thereof to be posted for not less than ten (10) days prior to the time when sa~d report may be s,~mitted to said city council, on or near the chamber door of said city council, toget- her with a notice of riling the same, and of the time and place when and ~here any persons interested in the work of removal of said weeds, will be heard by said city council. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 16th day of April, 1951, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Boido, Elder, Sani, Bracco, Cortesi Noes, Co,mcilmen None Absent, Councilmen None Attest: Daniel J.
