HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1655-1951RESOLUTION NO. 16~5 A RESOLUTION OF INTImaTION TO VACATE THE BUBLIC THOROUGHFARE OR ALLE~ B~ BLOCK "U" AND BLOCK "X" AND THE THOROUGHFARE OR ALLEY B~ BLOCK "A" AND BLOCK "U" IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, a ~unicipal corporation in the County of San ~ateo, State of California, that it is the intenti°n of said City Council to order the following thoroughfares or alleys in said city to be vacated: The alley betweea Block ~U" and Block "X" and the alley between Block "A" and Block "U#, as sho~n upon that certain map entitled mBupple~ental ~ap to and Re-Subdivision of Blocks "R" and "S" of Map of Peckts Subdivision No. 1, South S~n Francisco, California," which was filed in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo, California, October 23, 1913, and recorded in Book 9 of Maps at page 10. Said City Council hereby fixes ~onday, the &th day of June, 1951, at the hour of 8 ot clock p.m., in the Council Chamber, in the City Hall in said City of South San Francisco, as the time'and place for hearing all persons interested in, or objecting to, the vacation of said alleys. Notices of the passage of this resolution of intention, giving th® time and place of hearing thereon, shall be conspicuously posted along the lines of said alleys, at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and not less than three (3) in all. The action hereby taken by said City Council is pursuant to that certain act of the Legislature of the State of 0alifornia known as the "Street Vacation Act of 19~1,# the same being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and Highway~ Code of the State of California. This resolution of intention shall be published by one ~1) insertion in the South San Fran- cisco Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in t~e City of South San Francisco. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution ~as regularly introduced ~nd adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this ?th day of May, 1951, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Charles K.
