RESoL~TION AW^RDING CONTRACT FOR INPROVEMENT OF SPRUCE
AVENUE BE~EEN COLMA CREEK AND EL COMINO REAL.
WHEREAS the City Council ~f the' City of South San Francisco did, in open session on the 17th
day of December, 1951, publicly open, examine, and declare all sealed proposals or bids for the
construction ef~. pavement and storm drains in the portion of Spruce Avenue between Colma Creek and
EL Camino Real;
RESOLVED by said City Council that said City Council hereby rejects all said proposals or bids,
except that next hereinafter mentioned, 8nd hereby awards the contract for said work to the lowest
responsible bidder The Lowrie Paving Company, Inc at 'the ~price stated in its bid, to wit:
Item 1, 120 lineal feet 12" corrugated metal pipe, ~6~007 per lineal foot; Item 2' 80 lineal
feet 12" concrete pipe, $6.00 per lineal foot; Item 3, 3 only- raise catchbasins to grade, $_80.00
each; Item &, 6~.only --Catchbasins, ~-2~=~ each; Item 5,155 lineal feet - remove guard rail, -$O.~-
per lineal foot; Item 6,30 lineal feet - replace guard ratl~_~_~A~ per lineal foot; Itam 7, 1 only
- raise manhold to grade, $_~._0~ each; Item 8, 1000 cubic yards embankment~_~_~.~2_per cubic yard;
Item 9, 205,000 square feet grading and preparation of sub - grade, SO. D1 per square foot ; Item 10,
lA6 lineal feet curb and gutter, $ 3.5_0 per lineal foot; X~em~~.I1, 500 square feet sidewalk, $O.&O
per ~quare foot; Item 12, 3600 tons crusher runbaseA_$2,9__O_per ton; Item 13, 190,000 square feet
seal coat, $0._0__2,5. per square foot;

The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby directed to execute a contract for sa~d work ~ith
said successful bidder.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Co~n~cil of the City of South San Francisco, this 17th day of December, 1951, by the following vote:
