HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1754-1952RESOLUTION NO. 1754 A RESOLUTION FOR PRELIMINARY DETEENATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY UNDER "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, LIMITATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1931" FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SECOND LANE BETWEEN CHESTNUT AVENUE AND EUCALYPTUS AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. RESOLVED BY T~E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO that certain improvements are pro- posed to be done and made within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter described. In connection therewith, said City Council hereby finds and determines as follows, to-wit: 1. That the nature of the proposed improvements and the location and extent thereof consists of: Construct improvements in Second Lane between Chestnut Avenue and Eucalyptus Avenue, consisting of crusher run base with plant mixed surfacing, concrete gutter, and storm dratus with necessary appurtenances. Construct storm drains iu Chestnut Avenue and EUcalyptus Avenue between Commercial Avenue and Second Lane. 2. The boundaries of the lauds and of the district of lands proposed to be specially assessed to pay the costs and expenses of such proposed work and improvement are generally defined as follows, to-wit: All that certain property situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and particularly described as follows: BEGINNING AT the intersection of the center lines of Commercial Avenue and Chestnut Avenue, as shown upon that certain map entitled "South Sau Fraucisco Plat No. l", recorded in Book 2 of Maps at Page 52, San Mateo County Records; thence North 15° B3' East 335 feet to the southerly line of Baden Avenue; thence along the southerly line of Baden Avenue South 74° 27' East 1070 feet to the center line of Eucalyptus Avenue; thence along the center line of Eucalyptus Avenue South 15° 33' West 335 feet to the center line of Chestnut Avenue; thence North 74° 27' West 1070 feet to the potntof beginning. 3. That uo portion of such proposed improvement is to be paid from any source other than special assessments upon said benefited property. 4. The statute under which it is proposed to conduct proceedings for the proposed improvement is the Improvement Act of 1911 (Statute 1911, page 7BO, as amended) and it is proposed to pay for said improve- merits by special assessment upon adjacent property upon a frontage basis, with bonds to be issued as auth- orized under the Improvement Bond Act of 1915 (Statutes 1915, page 1441).
