HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1757-1952notice of said cont~m~o+A~ ~ RESOLUTION NO. 1757 RESOLUTION TO P~240VE WR~DS, RUBBISH, REFUSE, AND DIRT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: Said city council hereby determines that weeds which will attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry are now growing upon streets, parkways, sidewalks,,and private property in the City of South San Francisco, and also determines that there is rubbish, refuse, and dirt upon parkways, sidewalks, and private property in said city, and declares said weeds, rubbish, refuse, and dirt to be a public nuisance, which must be abated by their removal. Otherwise, said weeds, rubbish, refuse, and dirt will be removed and the nuisance abated by the city authorities, and the cost and expenses of such removal shall be assessed upon all lots of land from or in front of which such weeds, rubbish, refuse, or dirt are removed, and such cost will constitute a lien upon such land until the same is paid. Said city council hereby fixes Monday, the 2nd day of June, 1952, at the hour of 8 o'clock p. m., and the council chamber in the city hall of said city as the time and place when and where any and all persons having any ob- Jections to the proposed removal of said weeds, rubbish, refuse, and dirt may appear before said city council and show cause why the work of said proposed removal of weeds, rubbish, refuse, and dirt ahall not be carried out in accordance with this resolution. The city clerk is hereby directed to cause this resolution to be published by two (2) insertions iu the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated iu said city. Such publication shall be entitled "NOTICE TO DESTROY W~S AND REMOVE RUBBISH, REFUSE, AND DIRT", and such title or caption shall appear iu bold print. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced a~d adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 19th day of May, 1952, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, k~.~ilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith Noes, Councilmen, None Absent, Councilmen, None Attest: Elizabeth Ottenfield Acting City Clerk
