RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION OF THE SUM OF $43,000.00 FOR EMERGENCY
WEEREAS, storm, and flood or flood conditions occurring subsequent to October l, 1950, caused extensive
a~mage to, and destruction of levees, channels, flood control works and city roads and bridges and other property
within the City of South San Francisco; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the necessary remaining repair and restoration thereof is the sum of Eighty-
Six Thousand Dollars ($86,000.00); and
WHEREAS, by Item 428 of Chapter B, Statuties of 1952, the sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00), is
appropriated to be expended by the Department of Public Works acting through the agency of the State Engineer during
the 1952-5B fiscal year for the purpose specified in Chapter 13, Statutes of 1951;
NOW TM~RE~RE, BE IT RESOLVED that application is hereby made to the State of California for an allocation
of the sum of Forty-Three Thousand Dollars ($43,000.00) from the funds made available by the provisions of said Item
428 of said Chapter 3 for the repair and restoration of the following items:
Dredge mouth of Colma Creek
(From MaccoRoad to Orange Avenue)
$16,000.00
Clean and restore depth of Colma Creek Channel
(FromM acco Road to Orange Avenue)
14,000.00
Bulldoze silt deposits from lined portion of
Co~maCreek Channel
(Orange Avenue to Chestnut Avenue)
1,000.00
Restore bank of Colma Creek channel
(Rip rap average depth of 15 feet
for 4000 feet)
55,000.00

$86,OO0.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby promise and
agree to make available from funds of the City of South San Francisco and is willing and able to deposit the sum
of Forty-Three Thousand Dollars ($4B,000.00), or such part thereof as may be required in a State Controlled fund
for the purpose of matching such allocation of funds as the State of California may make under the provisions of
said Chapter lB.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco at a regular adjourned meeting held on the 2Brd day of June, 1952, by the following
vote:
