HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1805-1952RF~OLUTION NO. 1805 A R~ESOLUTION OF T!{E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PROVIDIN~ FOR THE FILING OF AN APPLICA- TION WITH THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE OF THE STATE OF CAL- IFORNIA FOR AN ALLOCATION OF FUNDS, AS PROVIDED FOR BY LAW, TO ASSIST SAID CITY IN PAYING FOR THE COST OF CON- STRUCTIN THE MUNICIPAL S~OE TR~TMFNT PLANT. .~.~-R?~A~ t~.e State of California, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 20, Statutes of 1946 ( First Extra Session), as amended, has approori~ted funds to provide for financial assistance to "Local Agencies", defined in said Act as counties, cities and counties, or cities, so that they may engaEe in an extensive public works construction program in order to prevent and alleviate unemploy- ment; and ~H~EAS the City of South San Francisco, here~nd after designated as "Local Agency", desires to apply for an allotment of State aid for the construction of a public works project as defined in said Act; and ~F~EAS an application to the State Director of Finance for such allotment has been prepared and presented to this legislative body for consideration; and WHEREAS Lecal Agency has made appropriations for the full payment of that pertion of the cost of the project not requested as an allotment from the State, NO~, THEHEFORE, BE IT RF£OLVED that Local Agency submit the aforesaid application for State aid for construction of a public works project to the Director of Finance, requestinE an allotment of FIFTY-EIGHT THOUSAND EI~HT HUNDRED SE~NTY-NLNE AND 16/100 DOLLARS ($58,879.16), or an allotment of such amount of money as may be allotted by the State Allocation Board. BE IT ~LSO RESOLVED that Local Agency hereby certifie~that the total estimate of cost to be paid for the construction of South San Francisco-San Bruno Sewage Treatment Plant, with respect to which public works construction program Local Agency ~s'~m~king~-~pplmcatmon under the provisions of said Act, is NINE HUNDRED T~.~UENTY-EI§}~T THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED ~TY-FIVE AND NO/lO0 DOLL~?~ ($928, 925.00); and BE IT FUSTY{ER RESOLVED that Local Agency hereby requests the State to pay the State's share of the total actual cost of construction of the project for which Local Agency is making application for aid; and BE IT FURThereR RESOLVED that for the purpose of this request FFLMONS McCLUNG, City Manager of the City of South San Francisco, City Hall, South San Francisco, be, and ~e hereby; is, designated as the authorized agent of Local Agency, and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the herein mentioned application of Local Agency and to submit the same to the ~tate Director of Financ~ together with a certified statement of the total estimated cost to be paid for construction of the project herein mentioned and such other information as may be required; and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed as representative of Local Agency to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangements with either the State Allocation Board or the ~irector of Finance, including requests for payment of the ~tat~.~sshare of the cost of the constr~¢~tfbn of the aforementioned public works project. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, this 8th day of September 1952 by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford Omith Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen ~one Attest: Arthur A.
