HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1809-1952 RESOLUTION NO. 1809 A R~OLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BE~EN SAID CITY AND LOUIS BALDINI, A DULY LICENSED ARCHITECT, FOP. THE PUR- OF PROVIDING FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR AN EXTENSION TO THE EXISTING PUBLIC LIBRARY OF SAID CITY, TOGETHF~ ~ETH SUPER'~rISION OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF SUCH EXTENSION. WHEREAS the City of South San Francisco is in need of additional public library facilities, and whereas said city has on hand sufficient moneys ( including anticipated revenue for the current fiscal year ) to provide for such additional facilities; and WHEREAS it is necessary to engage a licensed and qualified architect to prepare plans and specifications for such additional library st~cture; and ~HEREA$ ~.8U~ ~LLD~NI, a duly qualified and licensed architect, with offices at No. 417-A Grand Avenue, South San Francisco, has heretofore submitted to the City Council of said city plans and drawings, together with specifications, for the construction of an addition to the 'present South San Francisco public library building, which plans and specifications have met with the approval of said city council; NO~'/, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said LOUIS BALDINI be engaged as the architect to prepare plans and specifications for the aforementioned addition to the present South San Francisco public library building, and to supervise the construction of such additional building in the capacity of architect. Said architect shall be paid a commission for his services to be rendered in connection with paid project ina~i~t equivalent to eight (8) percent of the total cost of said additional building. The msyor is hereby authorized to exebute a written contract of employment on behalf of the City of South San Francisco, and the city clerk is hereby instructed to affix thereto the official seal of said city. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 15th day of September, 1952,by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, To!ford Smith Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None Attest: Arthur A.
