A HESOLUTION OF T~ CITY COUNdIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FHANdISCO
AUTHO~IZING THE ~X~CUTION OF A )~ODIFICATION TO TH~.T CERT^IN CONTRACT
DATED NO~EMBE~ 1, 19&9, AND ENT~ED INTO BY THE !.~ITED ST~.TES OF
A~ARICA, ON TH~ ONE HAND, AND THE SAID CITY ON THE OT~R HAND, AND
PERTAINING TO THE FI~tLNISHING OF VARIOUS MUNICIPAL SERVICES TO THAT
CERTAIN NAVY DEFENSE HOUSING PROJECT, C0~5~ ~.~ ~ I~OWN AS "CAPE ESPET~ANCE
VILLAGE".
~HERF~S The United States of America on the one h~nd and the City of South San Francisco on the
other hand did, on the 1st day of November, 19&9' enter into a written agreement ~nereby said city,id agree,
in return for the ann_ual payment of a certain designated sum of money, to furnish certain specified mun-
icipal services to that certain Navy defense housing proJsct, c~mmonly known as "Cape Esperan~,e Village"; and
"~w]{EAS said The United States of Americ8 has requested that said agreement be modified by adding to
ARTICLE II of said contract certain new p~ragraphs to be n~nmbered "9" and "lO"; and
W}{7~EAS said modification does not substantially aft'ect hhe operation o~' said agreement insofar ~as
said City of South SaD Francisco is concerned,
NOW, T~E'.EFOR, BE IT EESOL~D that said City Council eoes hereby approve said modification and does
hereby authorize the mayor of said city bO e~xecute said modification on behalf of said city. The clerk
of said city is hereby instructed to certify to the execution of said modification and to affix thereto
the corporate seal of ssid city.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced ~nd adopted by the City
of South San Francisco, this bth day of October, 1952, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Adolph sani, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith, Emilio Cortesi
Noes, Councilmen None
Absent, Councilmen John Noonan
