Mirri called the South San Francisco Redevelopment Agency meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Present: Mayor Terry J. Mirri, Vice Mayor Ronald G. Acosta, Councilmen William A. Borba, Emanuele N. Damonte, Councilwoman Roberta Cerri Teglia COUNCILMAN BORBA Councilman Borba disqualified himself from the discussion EXCUSES HIMSELF: relating to the survey area boundary because he owns property immediately adjacent to the proposed boundary and wished to avoid any appearance of conflict of interest. --AGENDA REVIEW: Executive Director/Secretary C. Walter Birkelo advised members that the single item for consideration at this meeting was the designation of a survey area within the City of South San Francisco which would serve as a basis for future planning study and the eventual designation of a project area boundary. Assistant Director Louis Dell'Angela reviewed the survey area boundary recommendations in some detail, pointing out the it basically included the lO0-acre Bethlehem Steel site, highway rights of way at Oyster Point Boulevard, and East Grand Avenue properties of Southern Pacific Railway - including the passenger station, Edwards Wire Rope, Blue Line Transfer, and Hoss & Haney parcels immediately south of Oyster Point Boulevard. Members were advised that all property owners, with the exception of the Southern Pacific Railway, were aware of the recommendation to include their properties in the survey area. Mr. Peter Haverkampf, representing Allstate Insurance Company, stated that his company was proceeding as quickly as possible to complete their planning activities and agreed with the proposed survey area boundaries. iESOLUTION NO. 5 Vice Chairman Acosta moved, seconded by Member Teglia that ~ESIGNATING & DESCRIB- the resolution entitled, "RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT ING SURVEY AREA AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DESIGNATING AND DESCRIBING A (REDEVELOPMENT) SURVEY AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO," be adopted. Motion, as moved and seconded, was regularly carried; Member Borba, absent. ADJOURNMENT: Member Teglia moved, seconded by Member Damonte, and regularly carried, that the meeting be adjourned to Wednesday, March 26, 1980, 4:30 p.m., City Council Conference Room, City Hall; Member Borba, absent.
