RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, that: ?~EREAS, it is the intention of said City Council to make the following improvements in and for said city, to-wit: the improvement of Shaw ~oad in Industrial Acres, South San Francisco, Calif- ornia, by excavation, grading, and the installation therein of a fire protection telegraph alarm system, together with available fire Hydrants and the performing of all work auxiliary to the foregoing which may be necessary to carry out the same, and ~?HEREAS, the owners of more than 85% of all the property within the proposed assessment district have signed and filed with this Council a written petition for the doing of said work and waiver of pro- ceedings under the "Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931"~ NOW, THEi~EFORE, IT IS ORDERED, ?OU4~ AND DETRAINED AS FOLLO'~VS: 1. That none of the property owners of property within the area of the proposed assessment dis- trict demanded the making of the investigation proceedings provided in the "Special Assessment Invest- igation , Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931" for the work and improvement herein provided to b e~ done. 2. That said Council proceed under the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 and the Improve- ment Bond Act of 1915 to carry through the contemplated proceedings without any further restrictions what- soever by reason of the ~rms and provisions of said "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931". 3. The boundaries of the lands and of the districts of lands proposed to be specia~l~ assessed to pay the cost and expenses of such work and proposed improvement are generallF described as follows, to-wit: All that certain real property situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, to-wit: BEGInnING at the southwesterly corner o~ Lot ~ as shown upon that certain map entitled "Industrial Acres", recorded in Book 35 of Maps at Pages l0 and ll, Official Records of San Mateo County, California; thence along the southerly line of said Lot ~ South 89° 57' 13" East ~05.63 feet; thence South 5° 53' 23" East lO0. A. That no portion of such proposed i~nprovement is to be paid from any source other thanspecial assessments upon said benefi~ed property. 5. The statute under which it is proposed to conduct proceedings for the proposed improvement is the "Improvement Act of 1911" (Statute 1911, page 730) as amended and it is proposed to pay for said im- provements by special assessment upon adjacent property upon an area vasis with bonds to be issued as author- ized u~der the Improvement Bond Act of 1915 (Statutes 1915, page ldAl). I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City C~ncil of the City of S~ath San Francisco at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day o~ November, 1952, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, ~lio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None Attest: Arthur A.
