HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1842-1952 RESOLUTION NO. 1842 A RESOLTUION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A SEWER EASE~ES~ IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation in the County of San Marco, State of California, as follows: Section 1. It is the intention of said City Council to order the vacation of the right-of- way of easement for sewers for drainage and sanitary purposes in the strip of land fifteen (15) feet in width, ~ich easement or right-of-way was granted to said City o f South San Francisco by the South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company by deed dated July 20, 1929, and recorded December 21, 1932, in Book 581 of Official Records of San Mateo County at Page 299, and which crosses the land hereinafter described. The land hereinbefore referred to is all that certain land situate in the City of South San Fran- cisco, County of San Mateo, State of Caifornia, and described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the southwesterly line of Linden Avenue, at ~he most northerly corner of that certain 0.239 acre parcel described in the Deed from Leonard ~. Meleod and wife to Oliver L. Kallen wife, dated June 23, 1948 and recorded June 29, 1948 in Book 1545 of Official Eecords of San Narco County at pages 328 (38831-H); thence along the northwesterly line of the lands above mentioned, South 33° 25' 08" West 200.45 feet to a point, distant 95.12 feet northeasterly, measured at right angles from the north- easterly lin~ of Armour Avenue; thence North 56 deg. 3~' 52" ~est parallel with said northeasterly line of Armour Avenue, 63 feet; thence North 33 deg. 25' 08" East 192.94 feet to the southwesterly line of Linden Avem~e aforementioned; thence South 63° 22' 30" East, along the last mentioned line, 63.~5 feet, to the point of beg~m~n~ . Section 2. Said City Co~n~cil hereby fixes Monday, the 1st day of December, 1952, at the h~r of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the city hall of said City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, as tnettme and plac for hearing all ?ersons interested in, or objecting to, the vacation of said right-of-way or easement for s~wers for drainage and sanitary purposes. Section 3. Notines of the passage of this resolution of Intention, ~iving the time and place of hearing hereon, shall be conspicuously posted along the ~.!nes of said righ~of-w~y or easement for at least ten (lC) days prior to said hearing, at not more than three hendred (300) feet in distance apart, ~nd not less than three (3) i~ all. Section ~. The action hereby taken by said City Council is in pursuance of that certain act of the Legislature or the State of California, known as the "Street Vacation Act of 19Al", the same being Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State o~~ California. Section 5. This resolution of intention shallbe published by one (1) irsertion in the Fz~.~erprise- South San Francisco Journal, a newspaper of general circulation, published and eir,~lated in said City of South San Francisco.
