HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1862-1953RESOLUTION NO. 1862 A RESOL[~ION OF THE CITY dO[~CIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE ~PLO~ OF T~ (2) ENGINEERS AND AN ATTORNEY TO INVESTIGATE ALL PHASES OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF SPRUCE AVENUE BRIDGE. .'~HEREAS a .question has arisen as to the regularity of proceedings in connection with the construction of the Spruce Avenue Bridge across Colma Creek and as to the performance of the con- tract for the construction of said bridge by the successful bidder; and WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco has heretofore determinedthat a thorough investigation of the entire matter should be made; and WHEREAS EARL P. WILSEY and NORMAN HYNDING, qualified engineers duly licensed by the State of California, and ARTHUr{ J. HARZFELD, a qualified attorney duly licensed by the State of California and experienced in munic, ipal law, have consented to conduct said investigation on behalf of the City of South San Francisco; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by said City Council that EARL P. 'FILSEY and NORMAN HYNDING, said engineers, and AR~H~R J. HARZFELD, Said attorney, are hereby engaged by the City of South San Francisco to conduct said investiga~ion. Further, said engineers and said attorney are hereby requested to submit their final report in writing and to file the same with the City Clerk of said City a% the earliest possible date. BE IT ~THER RESOLVED that said engineers and said attorney shall receive reasona~%e remuneration for the services to be rendered pursuant to this resolution. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 2nd day of February, 1953, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None ATTEST: Arthur A.
