HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1864-1953RESOL[~ION NO. 1862 A RESOLUTION OF ~E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ACCEPTING AND ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AS PREPARED BY THE ~KIRES ENGINEER FOR THE REPAIR OF THAT PORTION OF BA¥SHORE BOULEVARD LYING BET:~N BADEN AND J[~IPER AVENUES, AS PART OF THE MAJOR STREET REPAIR PRO(Il{AM FOR THE YEAR 1953, AND ESTABLISHING A WAGE SCALE FOR ALL SUCH WORK. WHEREAS the Works Engineer of the City of South San Francisco has filed withthe city clerk of said city plans and specifications for the repair of that portion of Bayshore Boulevard lying between Baden and Juniper Avenues in said city as pert bf the major street repair work to be performed in said city during the yaar 1953; and ~EREAS the Works Engineer ~ said city has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per. diem wages in the locality in which the aforementioned public work is proposed to be performed, and which wage scale in set forth in the plans and specifications for such work; and WHi~%EAS this city council has duly considered said plsns and specifications and said wage scale and finds the same to be correct in allpsr~iculars~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of South San Francisco that said city council does hereby accept and adopt the plans and specifications as prepared by the works engineer for the hereinbefore described work, which plans and specifications are on file withthe city clerk of said city. BE IT F~RTHER RESOLVED that said city council does hereby find, determine, and order that said wa~e scale above mentioned is hereby adopted as the prevailing rate of per diem wages for the performance of work of a similar character to that above described in the locality in which such public work is proposed to be performed, and that not less than said general prevailing rate of per diem wages shall be ~ for the performance of any of the public work herein mentioned. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City of South San Francisco, this 16th day of February, 1953, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilib Gortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None Attest: Arthur A. ~odondi City Clerk
