HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1866-1953RESOLUTION NO.. 1866 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ACCEPTING AND ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ~S PREPARED BY THE WORKS EN- GINEER FOR THE REPAE OF THAT PORTION OF "B" STREET EXTENDING EAST FROM ORANGE A~ COURTH AND CONTINUING UP TO THE PROPERTY OF THE SO~fH SAN NRANCISCO HIGH SCHOOL, AS PART OF THE MAJOR STREET REPAIR PROGRAM FOR THE YEAR 1953, AND ESTABLISHING A WAGE SCALE FOR ALL SUCH ~ORK. ~HEREAS the ~rks Engineer of the City of South San Francisco has filed with the City Clerk of said city plans and specifications for the repair of that portion of "B" Street lying between Orange Avenue South and South San Francisco High School in said city as part of the major street repair work to be performed in said city during the year 1953; and WHEREAS the Works Engineer of said city has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which the aformentioned p~blic work is proposed to be performed, and which wage scale is set forth in the plans and specifications for such work; and WHEREAS this city coAncil has duly considered said plans and specifications and said wage scale and finds the came to be correct in allparticulars, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said City Council does hereby accept and adopt the plans and specifications as prepared by the works engin- eer for the herinbefore described work, which plans and specifications are on file with the city clerk of said city$ and are entitled '~B' STREET EXTENSION IMPROVEMENTS". 196 BE IT F~THER RESOLVED that said city council does hereby find, determine, and order that said wage scale above mentioned is hereby adopted as the prevailing rate of per diem wages for the performance of work of a similar character to that above described in the locality in which such public work is proposed to be performed, and that not lees than said general prevailing rate of per diem wages shall be paid for the performance of any of the public work herein mentioned. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced a~d adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 16th day of February, 1953, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None ~.!lio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Tel ford Smith Attest: A~bhur A.
