HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1919-1953 RESOLUTION NO. 1919 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, in open session, on the 3rd day of August, 1953, publicly open, examine, and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the work and for the furnishing of all materials, labor, and equip- ment necessary for the doing of said work and improvement, in said City, described in Resolution of Intention No. 1881 ofthe City Council of said City, adopted on the ~th day of May, 1953, which resolution of intention is hereby exoressly referred to for a description of said work and improvement and for all osrticulars relative to the proceed- ings under said resolution of intention; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that said City Council hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids except that herein mentioned and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and making said imorovements and for the furnishing ef all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the doing of said work or improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: John A. Furrer at the prices named in his bid on file in the office of the city clerk. The city clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said award twice in the SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ENTERPRISE-JOURNAL, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said city and hereby designated for that purpose by said City Council. I hereby~ certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco held on the 3rd day of August, 1953, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adoloh Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith Noes, Councilmen None Absent,~Councilmen None At te st: Arthur A.
