HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1922-1953 RESOLUTION NO. 1922 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE ALL PUBLIC STREETS AND ALLEYS, CERTAIN EASEMENTS, AND A PATHWAY AS DELINEATED ON THAT CERTAIN MAP ENTITLED ~ "AVALON PARK, SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA", RECORDED IN VOLUME 30 pages 32, 33, and 34. RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation in %he County of San Mateo, State of California, as follows: Section 1. ~ It is %he intention of .said city council to order the vacation and abandonment of the following designated streets and alleys, easements and pathway, as shown on that certain map entitled "Avalon Park, South San Francisco, California", which map was recorded in the office of the recorder of San Mateo County, on July 7, 1949, in Volume 30, Pages 32, 33, and 34, Official Records of said county, more particularly described as follows: (1) All streets and alleys in Avalon Park, which streets and alleys are designated as follows: Alta Vista Court, Corrido Avenue, Granada Drive, Samora Drive, Avalon Drive, Valencia Drive, Alhambra Road, Dana Way, Dana Court, the un-named street between Blocks 2 and 10, the un-named street adjacent to Junipero Serra Boulevard, and a oortion of Alta Vista Drive, as shown on said map; the alley between Blocks 14 and 16, and the alley between Blocks 13 and 17, as shown on said map. (2) Those certain public utility easements designated as follows: The public utility easements in Lots 3 to 7 inclusive, Lots 19 to 23, inclusive and Lots 38 to 42, inclusive, Block 3; in Lots i to 8 inclusive, Lots 19 to 25, inclusive, Lots 36 to 40, inclusive Block 4; in all Lots (1 to 29 in- clusive) in Block 5; in all Lots (1 to ~6 inclusive) in Block 7, in all Lots (1 to 26 inclusive) in Block 8; in all Lots (1 to 27 inclusive) in Block 9; in Lots i to 27 inclusive, Block lO; along the side lines of Lots l& and 15, Block ll; in all Lots (1 to 28 inclusive) Block 12, as shown on said MaP. (3) That certain pathway between Lots 8 and 9, Block 3, as shown on said map. Section 2. Said city council hereby fixes Monday the 21st day of September, 1953, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the City Hall of said City of SOuth San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in, or objecting to, the vacation of said public streets, alleys, pathway and easements. Section 3. Notices of the passage of this resolution of intention, ~iving the time and place of hearing thereon, shall be conspicuously posted along the lines of said public streets for at least ten (10) days prior to said hearing, and not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and not less than three (3) in all. Section &. The action hereby taken by said City Council is in oursuance to that certain act of the Legislature of the State of California known as the "Street Vacation Act of 19&l", the same being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. Section 5. This resolution of intention shall be published by one (1) insertion in the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of South San Francisco. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the Citer Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 25th day of August, 1953, by the following vote: ~ Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Telford Smith Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen Joseph Bracco Attest: Arthur A.
