HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1928-1953252 RESOLUTION NO. 1928 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO SELL OR TRANS- FER CERTAIN PUBLIC PROPERTY OWNED BY SAID CITY, TO-WITr A PORTION OF SAN BRUNO ROAD, A PUBLIC ROADWAY OR THOROUGH- FARE LYING WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation in the County of San Mateo, State of California: Section 1. It is the intention of said City Council to order th following described nublicly owned real property of the City of South San Francisco to be sold or transferred to the City andCounty of San Francisco, a municipal corporation, in exchange for certain real oroperty owned by said City and County of San Francisco to be utilized for the relocation of said San Bruno Road. All that certain real property situate in the City of South San 'Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, described as follows: All that nortion of San Bruno Road included within San Mateo County Parcel 26, "South San Francisco Marsh Lands" as per deed from Spring Valley Water Company to the City and County of San Francisco dated March 3, 1930, and re- corded March 3, 1930, in Volume 491, at page 1, Official Records of San Mateo County, California, described as, COMMENCING at a point on the easterly line of said San Bruno Road, being the northwest corner of that certain 3.341 acre portion of said Parcel 26 as described in the deed from the City and County of San Francisco to Ed. R. Guerin et ux dated November 3', 1948 and recorded November 24, '1948, in Volume 1596, at page 544, Official Records of San Mateo County, California; running thence south 89u 54' west 33.01 feet to the eenter line of said road; thence along said center line north 1° 22' 54" east 132.94 feet and north 4° 13' 11" east 244.59 feet; thence leaving said center line, north 73° &l' 15" west 33 feet, more or less, to the westerly line of said San Bruno Road; thence northerly along last named line to the westerly boundary of said parcel 26; thence northeasterly along last named line to the easterly line of said San Bruno Road; thence southerly along last named line to the point of commencement. Section 2. Said City Council hereby fixes Monday, the 5th day of October, 1953, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, in said City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, as the time and nlace for hearing all persons interested in, or objecting to, the sale or transfer of said publicly· owned real property, and final action in said matter will be taken by said City Council immediately unon the close of said hearing. Section 3. The action hereby taken by said City Council is pursuant to the porvisions of Title &, Division 3, Part 2, Chapter 5, Article 3 of the Government Code of the State of California. Section &. Notices of the passage of this resolution of intention, giving the time and nlace of hearing ~hereon, shall be conspicuously posted along the lines of said oublic streets for at least ten (10) days prior to said hearing, and not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and not less than three (3) in all. .Section 5. This resolution of intention shall be published by one (1) insertion in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation nublished and circulated in said City of South San Francisco. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly 'introduced and adopted by the city council of the City of South San Francisco this 8th day of September, 1953, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen .John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None Attestr Arthur A.
