HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1931-1953RESOLUTION NO. 1931 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF SAN BRUNO ROAD, A PUBLIC ROADWAY OR THOROUGHFARE LYING WITHIN SAID CITY. RESOLVED by the City Council of the 8ity of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation' in the County of San Mateo, State of California, as follows: Section 1. It is the intention of said city council to order the vacation and abandonment of the following designated nortion of San BrunO Road, a public roadway or thoroughfare lying within the City of South San Francisco, County of San Marco,' State of CAlifornia, particularly described as follwws: All that certain real property~ Situate' in the City of South San Francisco, County of San ~teo, State of California, described as follows: ~ All.that portion of San BrUno Road included within San Mateo County Parcel 26,'"South San Francisco Marsh Lands" as per deed from Soring Valley Water Company to the City andCounty of San Francisco dated March 3,1930,.and re- -corded March 3, 1930, in Volume &91, at page l, O~ficial Records of San Mateo County, California, described as, COMMENCING at a point on the easterly line of said San Bruno Road, being t~e northwest corner of that certain 3.3&1 acre portion of said Parcel 26 as described in the deed from the City and County of San Francisco to Ed R. Guerin et ux dated November 3, 19&8 and, recorded November 2~, 19~8 in Volume 1596, at page 5~' Official RecOrds~of San Marco County, California; running thence south 89° 5~! west'33.01 ~eet to .the center line of said road; thence along said center line ~m~h 1~ 22' 5&" east 132.9& feet and north 4° 13' ll".east 2&&.59 feet; thence leaving said'center line, north 73° &l'lS" west 33 feet, more 6r less, to the westerly line of said San Bruno Road; thence northerly along last named line {o the westerly boundary of said Parcel 26; thence northeasterly along last named line to the easterly line of said San Bruno Road; thence southerly along last named line to the point of commencement. Section 2. Said city coUncil hereby fixed Monday, the 19th day of October, 1953, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the City Hall of said City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in, Or objecting to, the vacation of said portion of said oublic street. Section 3. Notices of the passage of this resolution of intention, giving the time andolace of hearing thereon, shall be conspicuously posted along the lines of said oublic streets'for at least ten (10) days nrior to said hearing, and not more than three hundred (300)feet in distance anart, and'not less than three (3) in all. Section &. The action hereby taken by said City Council is in oursuance to that certain act of the Legislature of the State of California known as the "Street Vacation Act of 19~1", the same being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets an~ High- ways Code of the State of California. Sec{ion 5. This resolution of intention~shall be oublished by one (1) in- sertion in the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of S~uth San Francisco. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 21st day of September, 1953, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, AdolPh Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Telford Smith Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen Joseph Bracco Attest: Arthur A.
