A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO APPOINTING AN ENGINEER FOR
THE IMPROVEMENT OF VICTORY AVENUE, AND DIRECTING
SAID ENGINEER TO MAKE AN ESTIMATE OF THE COST OF
SAID IMPROVEMENT.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco,
California, that C. E. RANDLETT be, and he hereby is, appointed as engineer
to supervise the excavating and'grading and constructing of storm drains,
gutters, catchbasins, manholes, and pavement along Victory Avenue, and te
prepare all engineering documents, plans, and specifications therefore.
Said engineer shall .be compensated for said engineering services as follows:
(1) For preparing plans and specifications, s~X percent (6%)of the first $10,
000.00 , and five percent (5~) of the balance, of the total cost of the project,
excluding engineering, and other incidental expenses; (2) For superintending
the construction work, six percent (6%) of the first $10,0OO.00, and five per-
cent (5%) of the balance of the total cost of the project excluding engineering
and other incidental expenses; and, (3) For inspection of the work, two
percent (2%) of the first $~Oe~O0.O0, and'.two percent (2%) of the balance of
the total cost excluding engineering and other incidental expenses. In ne
event shall.the engineering and inspection fees be calculated upon an amount
in excess of the sum of $1~,500.O0.'
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that C. E. ~NDLETT, s~id engineer,' shall make and
furnish to this city council an estimate of t.he cost and expenses of all of the
work hereinbefore referred
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a special meet-
ing thereof held en the llth day of January,,~'!195~, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracce
Noes, Councilman John Noonan, Telford Smith
Absent, Councilmen None.
