HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1976-1954RESOLUTION NO. 1976 RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK FOR IMPROVEMENT OF VICTORY AVENUE BETWEEN LINDEN AND MAPLE AVENUES AND THE INSTALLATION OF STOPJ4 DRAIN- AGE SYSTEM IN THE AREA SURROUNDING SAID PORTION OF VICTORY AVENUE, AND DIRECTING THE WORK TO BE DONE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF C. E. RANDLETT, A.S ENGINEER. WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did on the llth day of January, 195&, adopts its Re~olution of Intention No. 1966 to order the therein described work and improvement to be done and made in said city, which resolution of intention was regularly published in the time, form, and manner as required by law, ~s shown by the affidavit of publication of said Resolution of Intention on file in the office of the city clerk of said city; and WHEREAS, after the adoption thereof, notices of the passage of said olutlon of Intention, headed "Notice of Improvement", were regularly posted in the time, form, manner, locations, and number as required by law, as appears from the affidavit or'posting said notices now on file in the office of said city clerk; and WHEREAS, after the adoption thereof, notices of the adoption of said Resolution of Intention were duly mailed to all persons owning real property proposed to be assessed in the time, form, and manner and to the persons, as required by law; and WHEREAS said city council having ~uly received and considered evidence oral and documentary concerning the jurisdictional facts in this proceeding and concerning the necessity for the contemplated work and improvement and tm benefits to be derived therefrom, and it appearing that no protests or objec2ions have been filed in this matter, and said city council having now acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by said city council that the public interest and convenience require the improvement herein referred to, and said city council hereby orders that the work and improvement a s set forth and described in said Resolution of Intention, and in the plans and specifications therein referred to, be done and made. All said work shall be nerformed under the direction of C. E. RANDLETT, as engineer, and all mater- ials used in connection therewith shall comply with the specifications and be te the satisfaction of the said engineer and of LOUIS GOSS, Director of Public Works, of said City of South San Francisco. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the boundaries of the assessment district, and the grades to which said work and improvement are to be constructed, shall be those set forth and described in said Resolution of Intention, and in the plans and specifications therein referred to, reference to which is hereby made for all further particulars. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly adopted by the city council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting thereof held on the 1st day of March, 195&, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen Adoloh Sa~i, Joseph Bracco, Emilio Cortesi NOES, Councilmen John Noonam, Telford Smith ABSENT, Councilmen None Arthur A.
