HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1983-1954RESOLUTION NO. 1983 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DETERMINING TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS PURSUANT TO APPROPRIATE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT BOND ACTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC IMPROVE- MENTS %~THOUT PROCEEDINGS UNDER DIVISION & OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of So~th San Francisco, California, that: WHEREAS H. D. Chope, the Director of Public Health and Welfare of the' County of San Mateo, who performs the duties of Health Officer of the City ef South San Francisco, as well as said County, has recommended, in writing the construction of an industri&l sanitary sewerage system and industrial sewage pumping stations in the industrial area of South San Francisco lying, ,'~genewlAy speaking, east of Bayshore Freeway and extend- ing to the San Francisco Bay on the north and east, and to a line running gensrally par- allel to Colma Creek and being south thereof approximately eight hundred (800) feet; and whereas said City Council has hereto fore determined the construction of such industrial sanitary sewerage system and industrial sewage pumping stations in said industrial area is necessary as a health measure; and, WHEREAS the costs of Said improvement, together with the expenses incidental thereto, are to be assessed upon a district ben'efited thereby; and, WHEREAS the public interest and convenience will be served by the taking ef said proceedings; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY FOUND, DETEP~INED, AND ORDERED, as fellows: 1. That, pursuant to the provision of Section 2808 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, the investigation proceedings specified in Division & of said Streets and Highways Code are not required. 2. That the public interest and convenience require that this' Council ufidertake proceedings for the construction of said improvements under special assessment and assessment bond acts without further ~ompliance with the assessment bond acts with- out further compliance with the provisions of Division & of the Streets and Highways Code. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regularly adr journed meeting this lOth day of March, 195&, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio ortesm, Joseph Bracco, Telf~rd Smith Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None Attest: Arthur A.
