HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1991-1954RESOLUTION NO. 1991 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SOUTH SAN FRASCISCO CALLING FOR SEALED BIDS OR PROPOSALS FOR THE INSTALLATION AND CONSTRUCT- tSN OF AN INDUSTRIAL SEWERAGE SYSTEM AND SEWAGE PUMPING STATIONS IN THAT PORTION OF THE INDUSTRIAL AREA LYING EAST OF THE BAYSHORE FREEWAY IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, that WHEREAS, the City Council of said City did, on the 15th day of March, 195&, adopt its resohtbn of preliminary approval of engineer C. E. RANDLETT'S report, wherein it did preliminarily approve the plans and specifications for the construction of street improvements, a. ll as more particularly described and set forth in Resolution of In- tention No. 1987 adopted by said Council on March 15, 1954; , NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to publish twice in the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation published and printed in said City, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the construction of said improvements, and referring to the plans and speci- fications on file in the office of the City Clerk, the first publichation of which shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date of openin~ bids. - All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the order .of the City, amounting to ten (lC) per cent of the bid, or by a bond in said amount and payable to said City, signed by a corporate surety. Said check shall be for- feited ~m said bond shall become payable to said City in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen (15) days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him, enter into a contract with the City. Said sealed proposals or bida~shall, be delivered to the City Clerk of said City on or before 3:00 o'clock p.m. of Thursday, the 15th day of April, 195&, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, South San Francisco, CAlifornia, said time being no~ less than ten (lC) days from the time of publication ef said notice. Bids will be publicly opened, examined, and declared on said day and hour. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meet- ing this 15th day of March, 195&, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi, Joseph Bracco, Telford Smith Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None Attest: Arthur A.
