A RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLAR-
ING RESULTS OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
HELD IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ON
APRIL 13, 195~.
WHEREAS a general municipal election was held in and through the City of
South San Francisco on the 13th day of April, 1954, for the election of two (2)
members of the City Council of said City of South San Francisco, and for the pur-
pose of presenting to the electorate of said City two propositions, as specified
in Resolution No. 1981, adopted by the City Council of said City on the 10th day
~of March, 195&, and
WHEREAS the City Clerk of said city has duly presented to the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco all the returns of the votes cast at said election;
and
WHEREAS said City Council has inspected and examined all said returns,
NOW, THEREFORE, resolved by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that said City Council finds as follows:
The whole number of votes cast in said City of South San Francisco is Sixty-
One Hundred Eighty-Two (6,182).
The names of the persons voted for at said general municipal election are as
follows:
For members of the City Council of said City of South San Francisco, ADOLPH'
SANI, GEORGE H. BOSWORTH, JULIO DI BASILIO, THOMAS B. KAY, and FRANCIS X. LUCCHIO.
The propositions voted for at said general election are as follows:
PROPOSITION NO. 1
Shall the members of the City Council of said City receive compensation for
their services in the amount of SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($75.00) per month instead of
in the amount of THIRTY DOLLARS ($30.00) per month, which is the present monthly
salary of each councilman?
PROPOSITION NO. 2
Shall the members of said City Council, who may be chosen as mayor by said
City Council, receive the sum of TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($25.O0~ per month, for his
services as mayor, in addition to the amount of money which he may be permitted
to receive as a member of said City Council?

That said City Council of the City of South San Francisco declares that George H.
Bosw~rth and Francis X. Lucchio were duly elected at said municipal election as mem5ers of
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco; and that both Proposition No. i and
Proposition No. 2 were defeated at said municipal election.
The City Clerk is hereby ordered to issue certificates of election to said George H.
Bosworth and Francis X. Lucchio.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 20th day of April, 195&, by
the following vote:
