A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH~SAN FRANCISCO WHEREBY SAID
CITY COUNCIL DECLARES IT INTENTION TO MAKE
CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS IN THE ASSESSMENTS
HERETOFORE CONFIP~{ED WITH RESPECT TO THE PRO-
PERTY LYING ~THIN THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT.
WHEREAS C. E. RANDLETT, the Engineer for the oublic imorovement work specified
in Resolution of Intention No. 1987, adopted by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco }~rch 15, 1954, estimated that the total cost of said improvement, in-
cluding all incidental expenses, would be FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR THOUSAND AND NO/lO0
DOLLARS ($534,000.00); and
WHEREAS bids have been opened and contracts have been awarded conditionally to
the lowest bidders, and whereas it is now estimated by said Engineer that the total cost

THIRTY-SIX THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND NO/lO0 DOLLARS (~636,400~00) rather than the said
sum of FIVE }{UNDRED THIRTY-FOUR THOUSAND AND NO/lO0 DOLLARS ($534,000.00); and
WHEREAS it will be necessary to increase the assessments to be made against the
benefited property in order to pay the tot&l cost of said improvement project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco that the oublic interest, convenience, and necessity require, and it is the intention
of said City Council to make, changes and modifications in the proceedings had pursuant
to said Resolution of Intention No. 1987 as follows:
That the amount of the estimated total cost, including incidental expenses, be
ch%nged and modified by increasing the same from FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR THOUSAND AND
NO/100 DOLLARS ($534,000.00) to SIX HUNDRED THIRTY-SIX THoUSAND~FOUR HUNDRED AND NO/lO0
DOLLARS ($636,400.00), representing a net increase of ONE HUNDRED TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUN-
DRED AND NO/lOO DOLLARS (~102,~00.OO), that said increase be spread on a pro rata basis
on the parcels of property comprising the established assessment district.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice be, and the same hereby is, given that Mon-
day, the 7th day of June, 1954 at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the regular meeting
olace of this City Council, City Hall, South San Francisco, California are hereby fixed
as the time and place when and where said City Council will consider the matter of mak-
in~ said changes and modifications with respect to the assessments to be levied against
the orooert¥ included within the aforementioned assessment district and when and where
all orotests will be ente~rtained and interested persons may be heard.
The City Clerk of said City shall cause a copy of this resolution to be oublished
once in the South San Francisco Enterprise Journal, a newspaper of general circulation
published in said City, said publication to be at least l0 (ten) days prior to Said day
of hearing. Further, said City Clerk is hereby directed to mail to each property owner a
notice showing the assessment as originally proposed and the new assessment proposed to
be m~de against the property.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco held on the 17th
day of May, 1954 by the following vote:

John Noonan, Francis Lucchio, Telford Smith, Emilio Cortesi, George Bos-
worth.
