SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING ITS POLICY WITH RESPECT TO THE
EXPENDITURE OF MONEY NOT PROVIDED FOR IN THE BUDGET.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that in any instance where said City Council shall, through inadvertence, author-
ize the expenditure of any moneys for any project or purpose for which no money
has been budgeted, no money shall be disbursed until said City Council shall,
by appropriate action, allocate sufficient funds for the particular project
or purpose in question. In this connection, the City Clerk is hereby directed
to refrai~n from drawing a warrant on the City Treasurer in any case which
does not fully meet with the terms of this Resolution.
BE IT FURTifER RESOLVED that in every instance when the City Council shall
declare its intention to disburse moneys for which no provision has been made
in the budget, or, if provision has been m~de, the same is inadequate, the
City ~anage-- shall, to the best of ~is ability and recollection, apprise the
City Council of that fact with the least possible delay so that said City
Cou~,cil may act promptly in the matter either to make available sufficient
funds or to provide for a different course of action.

Ayes, Councilmen John Noonan, Francis Lucchio, Emilio Cortesi, George Bosworth,
Telford Smith.
Noes, Councilmen None.
Absent, Councilmen None.
