A RESOLUi~ION OF THE CI.~.,. COUN~iL OF Tt'~E CIIY OF SOUTH S~N
FRANCISCO PROVIDING FOR THE ~¥~KING OF AN APPLICATION FOR
AN ALLOT~NT UNDER CHAPTER 20~ STATUTES OF 19~6, AND
DESIGNATING ITS CITY ~NAGER AS ITS AUTHORIZED AGENT.
~EREAS the State of California, under Chapter 20, Statutes of 1946
(First Extra Session), as amended, has appropriated funds for.allotment to
provide for financial assistance to Local Agencies, defined therein as counties,
cities and counties~ or cities~ so that they may engage in a large public works
construction program in order to prevent and alleviate unemployment; and
WHEREAS the City of South San Francisco, hereinafter designated as "Local
Agency"~ desires to apply for an allotment of State aid for the construction of
a public works project under said Act: and
~'~HEREAS an application to the State Director of Finance for such an allotment
has been prepared and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration; and
~fHEREAS Local Agency has made provisions for paying that portion of the cost
of the project not requested .~s an allotment from the State,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Local Agency submit the aforesaid ap-
plication for State aid for construction of a public works projeCt to the Director
of Finance, requesting an allotment of One Thousand Five N~red Seventy-two and
12/100 Dollars ($1,572.12), in addition to the Fifty-eight Thousand, Eight Hundred
O~vcnty six and 16/700 Dollarc ($5~,876.16) previously allotted, or an allotment of
such amount as may be allotted by the State Allocation Board; and
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that Local Agency hereby certifies that the total estimate
of cost to be paid for the construction of the South San Francisco - San Bruno Sewage
Treatment Plant for which Local Agency is making application under said Act is Nine
Hundred Sixty-one Thousand, Five Hundred Forty-six and 77/100 Dollars ($961,5~6.771;
and BE IT FURTHER R~OLVED that Local Agency hereby requests the State to pay the State's share of
theto~ actual ~q~ of ~construction of t_he project for~which Loc. al Agency is makin~application for ai~; ar~
IT FURTHereR RESOLVED that, ~'or the p~u~p.~,se of this request E~'~.'IO~S McCLUN~,
City Manager, City Hall, South San Francisco, California, be, and he hereby is~
designated as the ~uthorized agent of Local Agency, and he is also hereby author-
ized and directed to sign the'herein ment~oned application of Local Agency and to
submit the same to the State Director of Finance, toget~er with a certified state-
ment of the total estimated cost to be paid for c~nstruction of the project herein
mentioned and such other information as may be required; and said authorized agent
is further authorized and directed as representative of Local Agency to conduct all
negotiations, ~nd conclude all arrangements, with either the State Allocation Board
or the Director of Finance, including requests for payment of the State~ share of
the cost of t]~e construction of the aforementioned public works project.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Fr~ncisco at a regular ad-
journed meeting ]~eld on the 3rd day of August, 195~.
