A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE MAKING OF A REQUEST TO THE PUBLIC
UTILITIES CO>~IlSSION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR AN AL-
LOCATION TO SAID CITY FROM THE CROSSING PROTECTION FUND IN
CONNECTION i~ITH THE INSTALLATION OF GR~'\DE CROS~i{ING GATES AT
SOUTH LINDEN AVENUE IN SAID CITY.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Fr~ncisco
that said City request the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California
to make an allocation to said City from the Crossing Protection Fund in the maximum
amount of ONE THOUSAND EIG~T HU~DRED NINETY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND SIXTY-FOUR CENTS
(~t898.64), such allocation in no event to exceed one-half the actual cost of said
city's share of the total cost of constructing grading crossing protection gates
at the crossing of the railroad tracks of Southern Pacific Company at South Linden
Avenue in said City. The State of California is hereby declared to be free from
any and all damages resulting from the construction of the aforementioned grading
crossing protection gates and of their maintenance and operation~ and said City
Council does, on behalf o£ said City, hereby agree to hold the State of California
safe and ~rmless in that respect.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of said City be~ and he hereby is author-
ized and directed to execute, on behalf of said City, said request for an~ ~
al ocation
of said funds.
