HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2063-1954RESOLUTICN NO. 2063 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ACKNOWLEDGING MERITORIOUS SERVICES RENDERED TO SAID CITY BY THOMAS B.KAY WHILE SERVING AS A MEMBER OF, AND CHAIRMAN OF, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF SA. ID CITY_. WHERE~S the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 19th day of May,1952, appoint THOMAS B. KAY as a member of the planning commission of s~id City, on which Commission he serVed as a member until the 1st. day of August,195&; and WHEREAS in addition to being a member of said Planning ~ommis~nn, he was chosen as its chairman on the 10th day of June 1953, and served in that capacity until the said 1st. day of August, 195&: and WHEREAS said THOMAS B. KAY did serve said City of South San Francisco, and the people thereof,honorably and well during all the time while /~ah~ a memberof, and Chairman of, its Planning Commission; and WHEREAS,as public official of said City,he did always himself with the utmost loyalty, faithfulHess,and competence; conduct and WHEREAS said THOMAS B. KAY,as a loyal and faithful public servant, contributedmkreatly, by untiring efforts to the upbuilding and improvement of the City of South San Francisco, which made great growth amd tremendous progress during the time when he was serving as a member of, and Chairman of, the Planning Commission of said City, NOW, THEREFORE~BE ~ RESOLVED b~m~e City Council of the City of South San Francisco that this City Council does hereby extend to THOMAS B. KAY its sincere appreciation for his services t© said City of South San Francisco,and the p~ople thereof, and said City Council does hereby express to him their very highest commendation for the manne~ in which he has fulfilled the duties of the public offices held by him. ~ ~FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread upon the Official Minutes of the City Council and that a Certificate of Merit be presented to said THOMAS B. KAY,together' with a certified copy of this resolution.
