A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO CANC~.?,ING
CITY TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY TEE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ~rNIF~ SCHOOL
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS the real property hereinafter described was, on the 21st day of September, 1954, acquired by
the SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO UNIF~ SCHOOL DISTRICT, a public body, the sa~ to be used for school purposes; and
~, as of the 1st day of March, 1954, municipal real property taxes in the amount of Sixty-two
and 58/100tbs Dollars ($62.58) became a lien upon said property; and
~ such property being used for school purposes iS exempt from taxation by the City of South
San Francisco,
NOW, ~RE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the real
property taxes levied for the fiscal year 19-54-1955, together with any and all penalties and costs, upon the
hereinafter described real property, and all taxes to be levied in all subsequent years, by said City, be, and
the same hereby are, cancelled. Said real property is situated..~n the City of South San Francisco, County
of San Mateo, State of California, is designated As Parcel NO. 5 bn Assessor's Map No. 4, as indicated in tax
bill No. 34, and is particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the Southeasterly line of Chestnut Avenue in the City of South San Francisco,
at the Northwesterly corner of that certain 1.00 acre parcel of land conveyed by Deed from South San Francisco
Land and Improvement Company, a corporation, to Benedetto Guisto and Genoeffa Guisto, his wife, recorded September
22, 1943 in Book 1082 of Official Records at page 203; thence from said poimt of beginning on and along the
Southeasterly line of said Chestnut Avenue N. 15° 33' E. 226.62 feet to a point, said last mentioned point
being the Southwesterly corner of that certain 2.538 acre parcel conveyed by Pacific Water Company, a corporation
to California Water Service Company, a corporation, by Deed recorded July 17, 19~1 in Book 528 of Official
Records at page 195; thence on and along the Southwesterly boundary of the said 2.538 acre parcel and its
Southeasterly prolongation S. 74° 27' E. 506.00 feet to a point; thence S. 15° 33' W. 226.62 feet to a point,
said last mentioned point being the Northeasterly corner of theoabOve described 1.00 acre parcel; thence and
along the Northeasterly line of the said 1.00 acre parcel N. 74 27' W. 506.00 feet to the point of beginning
CONTAINING 2.632 acres, more or less, and beim~ a portion of Parcel 1, Zone C, of the Official Map of the
City of South San Francisco, also being a portion of the Buri Buri Rancho.
BE IT ~ RESOL~ that the aforedescribed real property be, and it hereby is, ordered removed
from the City tax rolls.
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the City Clerk of said City be, and he hereby is, instructed to ~eliver a
certified copy of this resolution to the Tax CoLlector of said City.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 21st day of February 1955 by the following
vote:
AYES: COUNCII~EN Andrew Rocca, Francis Lucchio, Emilio Cortesi, Richard Gamlen, and Telford Smith.
